Käsespätzle
Ingredients (for 4p):
• 4 eggs
• 200g of flour
• Little bit of salt and a tiny bit of water
• 1 onion
• Butter/ Oil
• 2 blocks of Cheese preferably Emmentaler and Gouda
How to prepare:
1. Start heating up a big pot of Salt Water on the Stove. Crack all of the eggs into a big bowl and slowly start adding the flour. Mix the dough until it is very hard to mix and then add a bottle cap of water into the dough and mix again.
2. Leave the dough for 15 minutes and cut your onion into stripes. Then roast them in a pan with butter or oil until they are brown (it’s okay if they end up a little burnt)
3. Shred your cheese (you need lots of it) and keep it in a separate bowl.
4. Once the water is cooking you can start scraping your dough into the cooking water. When they start floating they are cooked and you can filter them out of the water into a bowl. Keep doing this until your dough is empty.
5. Now take a big pan and mix your Spätzle and cheese until it is creamy.
6.Plate everything up nicely and put the onions on top.
Guten Appetit!
