I was so shocked by the price of the smore maker that I didn't even think about the currency conversion. Then Jamie pointed out it was pounds, not dollars. I had to pause the video and think about the world for a little bit.

I looked it up as well, to see funny amazon reviews, but there are hundreds of people who loved it and wrote genuine reviews. Sounds like a lot of people are giving it as gifts to their children, which I could see being fun, but it's still plastic and it'll take up space, or you'll need to get rid of later. Too bad they didn't make a ceramic version.

I have one of those string-pull food processors and I use it all the time. Mine's a bit bigger but it is so helpful. Our electric food processor is too big and has too many hand-wash parts to use it for small things like garlic, peppers, a single onion, etc. It might be my most used kitchen gadget.
@Darkane01

Completely agree, I also have been using the exact same string-pull food processor for years. Works great for small amounts of ginger, onion, garlic. I would say really useful for normals.

@lisaflower5994

The jug that has the spout opening from the bottom works better than this. You just have to wait until the oil settles to the top and though it won’t seperate it all (the moment you begin to pour, it does start to mix up) it does allow you to strain most of the fat out if you want a broth immediately or not all that fat into your gravy. Better still, cook it the day before and refrigerate it if you can.

Hey, that string pulling mixer is actually a great tool for us students who aren't allowed to keep electrical appliances in the hostel. You need to just dice the vegetables is chunks and it does the rest for you. Yes a knife is needed in the process but it is still better as making a few cuts on an onion doesn't make one cry than chopping the whole thing. Also yes it does give a workout.

I really liked number 3, I think in particular james' comment about camping really made sense; if you wanted to make something with finely chopped veg whilst camping you'd either have to do it all before going out (which for things like onions means them losing their freshness) or taking a knife and chopping board which could be unsafe to use whilst camping.

I actually bought a small hand mixer to make small portion of mixed food for the kids first meals (when you have to make two spoons worth of food on top of the milk to make them taste it). It is really usefull (and has to be cheap) ! That's the king of tool you'd use for a couple of month per kid because it's too small of a portion to be made in a blender.

I actually use something like gadget 3 for onions because I can't chop onions without crying and with that gadget I can just skin the onion, quater it and the rest is done without tears

I've used the chord pull chopper. It's actually pretty convenient and good for time saving. Especially when you don't get a lot of time to cook and need to finely chop or coarsely dice many ingredients (as it tends to happen with Indian cooking)

We use the #3 and a larger version (there are multiple sizes) quite frequently in a small kitchen where we don't like to bring out the food processor often. It works to fine dice onion without you dicing it but you should have used a much smaller onion. if you have that big an onion (or something else) you need a bigger version.

I feel you all got ripped off on the s'mores thing. I remember them selling them in Bed Bath and Beyond, but it was only like $10ish. These videos are so amusing.

I'll be honest, I'm glad you've come to using actual silly gadgets since the first episode bc the things on there weren't dumb but in fact really good for people with disabilities. I'm really a fan now

Just found these guys! My husband every year buys me a kitchen gadget, takes off all the packaging and I have to guess what it is! I hope he sees these as I never usually guess what it's for! Maybe he can give you some ideas. Love the videos thank you. X

Maybe you guys could do storytime videos... where you pick a topic and share stories about that (kitchen disasters, embarassing moments in the kitchen, first dish you cooked etc) and also share a best story/funniest story of the week from all of your subscribers? Might be fun, and will also let us know more about the team behind Sorted!

The Pull String processor allows me to dice half an onion, clove of garlic and mushrooms (and some tomatos when in season) all at once without having to worry about cleaning a whole machine carefully ((And yes i do understand you have to get it to manageable pieces but it allows for a uniform dice and we dont always have the luxury of time to be pedantic about these things)). This speeds up the process of making compotes, bread crumbs and the like in general. Useful to bring for camping surely and it does more than one thing, it allows creativity which is what lets us create better food. Use it more and I'm sure you will learn to love it. Cheers from the Darling Project in Australia :)

Unfortunately a good small food processor, that is just as easy to clean, is only about 10 bucks more, works better, and lasts longer.

james's under his breath add on about camping for the pull chopper is exactly right. I have one for camping trips and it's great, not a lot of space for chopping boards and no power outside so a lot of help, pocket knife the veggies so they'll fit and then all diced up.
