If you didn't know anything about Lana Del Rey, your analysis would make sense. However, if you know something about Lana, you would conclude that she is looking back to a (perhaps idealized) past which is beautiful in feeling and aesthetics. Entering recent times, she is muzzled by a mask. She is not biting into an apple from the tree of knowledge but instead a bitter lemon. She is swept into OZ (our current nightmarish time) and finds that it is filled with narcistic and demonic entities. The wolf symbolizes her inner strength that will lead her out of the nightmare. She feels bloodied and dirty from this experience and needs to clean herself. She then leaves OZ and returns to Kansas. She (and her friends) are victorious over the pressure to join the darkness of OZ. The inspiration for the song was based on a Hollywood event she attended where the people seemed demonic. What she is saying is not precisely the opposite of your analysis, but close.

Lana's aesthetic in this clip is all Betty Grable and other stars of the 1930s and early-1940s, not Marilyn Monroe as suggested here at 1:27. The hairstyle is a carbon copy of Betty Grable and so many others from that era in Hollywood. Wrong decade for a shout out to Marilyn (which Lana does in "Candy Necklaces," along with a nod to Veronica Lake).

You brought us some really good point of how women were expected to behave in that era and how the women felt like a caged animal and like they were going to another world with the tornado. I honestly didn't even think about any of that because I was very focused on the one thing you did not mention and that was the chemtrail. The chemtrails are all over the sky as they truly are today, all day everyday and it's a huge problem, they are literally spraying as like bug and there is talk and the conspiracy world, I hate calling it back because it makes it seem untrue right off the bat but there's talks that shape shifters really do exist but not as werewolves. Instead, they are reptilian. I was so focused on those two factors and what that possibly could have meant to her because I do know an interview she said, she likes to talk about how she feels the state of the nation is currently in. The Chemtrails are huge problem oh, they are full of heavy metals and things like aluminum, barium, strontium, Etc and I'm not sure if they are trying to block out the Sun or slowly poisoning us. The healthcare industry makes so much money off of us being sick and apparently diabetes and cancer just to name a couple are not enough anymore so now they're spreading things like strongyloides which is basically a worm that you can barely even see. So I'm interested to get her take on the chemtrails. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that if you want the American dream then you are forced to sit and deal with things like the chemtrails? I guess there's not really a lot you can do about that because whatever reason, it's an agenda and I definitely think that has a lot to do with the video and there's a lot that people are not aware of. A lot of people aren't even aware of the chemtrail problem. I do agree with your interpretation, this is a good video!

You totally missed the meaning

She dont know what she is talking about. It is clear that it is an affair with another women. She wasnt litterally on the run. She was using puplic spaces as inconspicuous meeting places for her and her sweet love.
