The second incarnation of Cherchez la FM, my hands-on 4-operator FM Eurorack module, is almost ready and brings the following new features:
• Stereo - you can spread the operators across the stereo field
• More modulation options - feedback and fine frequency can now be modulation targets
• TRS MIDI input on the front panel
• Effects - chorus and delay
• Control button - no more overloading the RESET button
• Rear USB host port can now provide 5V (from a separate connection to the 5V rail)
• Internal sequencer - a cycle of 16 random notes with selectable quantisation (from 13 different scales) and transposition, driven by the gate input
• Simple brain transplant and panel chage converts it to a 3 oscillator subtractive voice
