Copy and pasted from Automotive LED Research : "Foreground limiters, ever since their inception, have been misunderstood and misused. This is because the *actual* foreground area is higher. So all the limiter does is cover up an area that is not visible from the drivers seat since its below the hood line (for certain vehicles). Limiters that are configured to block light much higher, just end up looking really weird and don't actually contribute to better visibility. Foreground light IS needed. You don't want to ever completely block it out. In the Headlight Junkies group, if you go to the "Files" section, scroll down until you find the PDF file "Optical Study Notes 3". This study was done by Yoshitaka Ishida and it demonstrates the differences with and without the FGL. Ultimately, the optical design is what determines the beam distribution and how much light is directed towards the foreground zone." Short answer, it's not quite a simple "fix" to simply install a limiter.

@@LightwerkzGlobal hey thank you so much for replying. I asked him about it one time as well I need pretty much said the same thing but that they would need to be designed specifically for the Optics being used in the projector. That said my Counterpoint to that would buy why did OEM manufacturers use them. And the car in question is a Honda Odyssey Minivan so you can pretty much see one foot in front of the vehicle from the seating position, not nearly as much as you could with an old cabover van, but still pretty close to it LOL
