Hello. My 2008 Equinox was hit from the back and since then the lift gate open indicator won't go off. The liftgate locks and opens correctly using my key FOB. I replaced the actuator with a brand new one with no luck. Replaced fuse as well but no luck. I did notice the striker is slightly bent forward from the accident. I assume it's not making contact with the sensor? However I don't see where the sensor is on the actuator. Where is the liftgate open/locked sensor located?

Mine is not a power liftgate. How do I know if it’s just the buttons or if it’s the latch. Because you can unlock it manually from inside.

I have a 05 equinox. The hatch has not opened in two years. I cannot find that little quarter size hole to Manuel open the hatch. I have a tail light out and really need to get the hatch open . HELP!!

Good morning... that’s because you have an 05 and that’s a little bit different than the 2009 that I show you in this video. But never fear I have one at the shop and I can find it Monday morning unfortunately I will not be able to help till then if you’re able to find it let me know

Marie Ferguson the 05 doesn’t have that type of latch release. You will have to try pulling the trim away and reach in to the latch mechanism. Apparently this is going to be difficult. I have to do the same thing.

My son has a 2007 chevy equinox. The back hatch will not open and he has a brake light out. How would he get the back hatch open to even change the brake light plus figure out what's wrong with it? He took his car to get the oil changed and the guy basically told him there was nothing the could do about it. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Oh that’s an easy one I have a video on how to open that when the switch is not working you crawl in through the back seat you pop a little cover , and push the lever super simple you will have to look for the video

@@sharpcarco Thank you so much!!! My son lives two hours away in a bigger city and he is coming in Tuesday and my husband will watch your video's and take care of it. My husband said he is going to go one and change all the bulbs just incase. My son has to make this care last another year. My husband said he would watch both your videos! Thank you so much! you crawl in your cargo space and pop off the little button down at the very bottom of the tailgate and inside there there’s a little round circular thing and you stick something in there and push on it and you can manually open it. I’m 71 years old and I have to do this all the time if I want to use my hatch

really useless. Needed to know what wire to hook power probe to. You sure talk fast. Lots of talk and I still don't know how to test mine. You didnt show what pins to hook up the Fluke to. I guess I'll move on to the next video.
