• CLAY I USE: Laguna red low fire earthen ware clay without grog. (EM106 or EM334 wards)
• Firing (Bisque) at cone 06. (I don't own a kiln, so I take my pieces to a pottery studio close by and get it fired in an electric kiln there)
• Wire used: Nichrome wire gauge 28 for stick beads and ghungroo beads; gauge 26 for earrings and 24 for pendants.

I picked it up in bulk from a store called MK fancy in Jayanagar 4th block, Bangalore. Bought it long back & I have still stock of that. But you get this easily in stores. You could also check online. You get them in different thickness.

Hi....hope ur doing good ...this pendent is wow......while making hole for small neck piece it cracks ..how this can be corrected

Thank you so much Is your clay too dry. Usually if the clay is too dry there is a higher chance for the piece to crack. Also making through & through holes for smaller pieces can be tricky. But with some practice, one does get the hang of it. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much!! I just buy them in bulk when I travel to India. But if you are looking for smaller qts, any hobby/fancy store will have it. They mostly sell in pairs or grams. You will even get it online on Amazon. They are called stud posts and earring hooks. You get them in silver, gold, brass and copperish or bronze kind of a color. If you are a beginner, keeping a few pairs of silver, gold & antique brass would do. They would match well with almost all pieces.

Hello Mam ur designs are all too awesome ...I just loved it and it's very useful to me to do .but I have one doubt after the jewelry dry the jewelry should bake right then y r u not doing that that's my major doubt mam.bcoz every tym I baked my jewelry and some of them was destroyed in that mam.

Hi Neha simply superb Ur painting is very neat n clean but I'm having this pink colour when I paint this colour become thin n not covering the area which I paint so I used to avoid this colour I'm using fevicryl colour is there anyway to correct it?

Thankyou so much That's a very common problem with colors like pink , yellow, deep brilliant purple etc. You might have to add two sometimes three coats to cover it up. Let the first coat dry and only then apply the second coat. Hope this helps.

Hai,mam.After painting my terracotta jewellery ( more than 3 hrs) it is sticky in nature.Can you please say the reason.

Usually that happens if your piece isn't fired well or when you apply a very thick coat of paint.

Hi mam to stick the stud back I m using fevibond is that good? But for me after 2 days drying also it come out.Or can I use Araldite glue?which u mentioned.

Yes, please use Araldite. It's much stronger. You can also check if you get E6000. Takes almost 3 days to dry but it's a good product.

Hi mam,how to protect terracotta jewels from insects,ants? Mine painted jewels dried and varnished .after some days there was ants destroying the paints.Even after varnishing it is like tat what to do for that? Pls tell mam..

Oh!! I am probably hearing of this for the first time. Honestly ants don't feed on things are painted or varnished. There is probably a different issue here. What's your process? What kind of paints do you use? Do you have eat something while working? Coz the food crumbs might attract the ants. Is your work area clean?

I do a use a little oil to smoothen the edges and surface sometimes. But most importantly the clay is of very good quality.

If you use air dry clay it's called Air dry clay jewellery. If you use terracotta/earthenware clay it's called terracotta jewellery.
