Note to self: Never watch this podcast while eating in the office. Spit my sandwich all over my laptop while dying laughing and my dept now thinks I’m nuts. To top it off I started working here 3 weeks ago and acted “normal” up until this point.

Learn something new everyday much Googled, found this:What's the Difference Between Chickpeas and Garbanzo Beans? The honest answer-there's no difference between chickpeas and garbanzo beans. They're just two (of many) different names for the same type of pulse. (Pulses are basically seeds of legume plants.) The word chickpea doesn't come from chickens at all-it's an evolution of the plant's Latin name, cicer arietinum. And garbanzo likely comes from the Basque name for the plant: garbantzu. There is some regional differences in who uses which name. In the East, chickpea reigns supreme, but they're more likely to be called garbanzo beans in the western parts of the U.S.

When we reach a certain age we don’t refuse to do things. It’s that we start recognizing who ain’t the boss of me learning y’all’s names if she isn’t going to meet you just sounds like pointless extra brain work
