I had a rabbit with rye neck. I had to give him 3 antibiotics a day, three shots of a muscle relaxer so the tendons in his neck wouldn't be permanently destroyed and 3 shots of an anti-inflamatory. After a month he began to get better. After that his head started coming up and by three months he was running around like a normal bunny. He lived 8 years

I’ve always loved chickens. When I was a child I had a pet chicken. My great grandmother had chickens and other small farm animals. This one chicken was supposed to be for supper but escaped from my great grandmother’s hands and ran straight to me and jumped on my lap. Needless to say she didn’t die that day. I don’t remember how long she lived but I had her for quite a while and made my great grandmother give her a decent burial. Needless to say she never became anybody’s meal. They are very smart

NO ANIMALS should become any humans' meal - it's 100000% unncessary. 8 billion humans stufing their faces with animal flesh means 100 billion baby animals are forced into existence under the most heinous conditions to be mutilated, confined tortured then thrown into DEATH TRUCKS to be massacred - the HOLOCAUST was terrible because it was the first time that humans were treated like the animals we eat!!! the big question is WHY ARE WE TREATING ANIMALS THIS WAY AT ALL? we should STOP this EVIL MADNESS instead of just nodding our heads and say "oh well wahtever at least one chicken got saved" ALL CHICKENS should be left alone!

I had a rescue hen that had Rye neck. She lived for 6 years and was spoiled rotten. Sometimes, the hardest fighters are the ones fighting the hardest. She wanted to live. I just helped her get there. She would lay massive eggs, she was a wonderful mother hen, and she lived a good life. She passed away in her sleep in her box.

My chicken lived to be 12. She was not a victim of the food industry and was able to do all the things a normal chicken can do. The broiler chickens are genetically mauled and left for food. Heinous. Thank you for loving her and knowing her love.

A chicken's natural lifespan can be about 20 years. The industry is literally slaughtering babies. It's awful. I stopped eating animals 25 years ago. My only regret is that I didn't stop sooner.

@@morganfreeman5972 I discovered what they did to pigs when I was 9, 50 plus years ago. I haven't touched pork since and have stopped eating every animal product except fish, eggs and rarely cheese. There is no need for the brutality and depravity of that industry. Unfortunately, 95 per cent of people in this country eat everything and so the industry will never stop putting profit before decency. These happy ending stories help me raise my spirits but I will never stop thinking of the horrors.

They are genetically engineered to grow so fast and large that many never even live six weeks. Their hearts give out or their Leah’s are crushed. These sweet babies are thrown into the hot dumpster to die a slow cruel death, alone. Chickens have intense emotions and are the smartest of all our domestic animals. They feel the terror and pain of their immensely cruel deaths. Don’t eat chickens or eggs.

I know people will often get rid of birds that don’t lay eggs any longer, but my chickens are part of the family. They’re in a massive coop that is fully enclosed to protect them from predators. I’m always sad when I lose one.

Broiler chickens have been bred to be pretty unnatural - as mentioned in the video, they're basically designed to be weight very quickly to the point where they can't fly on their own so they can be slaughtered for food as soon as possible. Even those that live longer for whatever reason (breeding, etc) show signs that they're always hungry. I'm not a militant vegetarian or anything, but it's stuff like this that made me slowly phase out meat. The whole industry is depressing.

That exact same thing happened to me except with a sheep, in 2007. A week later I was vegetarian, and since five years ago am vegan. We don't need to eat animals to survive. But even hunting them ourselves makes more sense than factory farming. Factory farming is not the food chain.
