I love the cool and freshing chilled morning of Beijing in Winter! you spots so many special places. great video! I remember the article said when Elffel tower was just completed, a lot of people in Paris hated it. so new architecture usually will not be easily accepted by public. but time will tell! love Beijing!

All the spots in this episode are so familiar for me cause I used to live among them for a decade. I literally watched many of them such as the modern Sanlitun, Parkview Green, the Big Pants, the Citic Tower, the Place etc. from nothing to what they look like today. How time just flies! This area was literally carrying my whole youth...

Zaha Hadid's works are so unique that I always recognize them at the first sight. There's one alongside the highway outside of town which can grab your eyes from miles away.

you are not missing anything, I live in Beijing and people here are SUPER racist against foreigners right now. I get harassed like 3 times per month at least.

OMG, Nico and Jack, rumours had it that they ran out of construction materials for the CCTV tower and hence it is only two legged. It is suggested when they have save enough of the material completion of the final leg is expected before the next Beijing Summer Games again. there are alot of local bank , insurance and China Gold Company in Galaxy Soho ， is very busy in workday. The opposite of Galaxy Soho is Chinese ministry of Justice and Chinese ministry of foreign affairs.

It is just a point and shoot video with commentary on the side by the vlogger and there is nothing sinister and propagandist about it. If there are, it only exist on your anti China mindset. Talking about that, I have seen many of your comments about China plastered on all over KZfaq and to you everything about China is bad. Judging from the image of your profile pic, it is obvious you are doing your job as an anti China troll. I had lived in Toronto near U of T for 4 years and I don't really like Canada with its subtle racisms but I don't go round s*&ting on them in every Canadian related video in YT. Mmmm it kinda did the city centre in Beijing is ancient that's why locals don't like it. The centre should only show Chinese ancient culture in terms of the structure of the buildings and I get where they r coming from.

5:07 i figure to make it sound a little bit more posh, this place should be pronounced in the French way so /plas/ not /ples/. I mean square or plaza(French meaning) isn’t necessarily posh, but it’s definitely better than a generic description “place” in English to fit with what Chinese people might wanna call this place. BTW, in China you might have many squares or plazas as name of metro stations on a metro line (eg. Changsha metro Line 2) just simply because Chinese people love open spaces such as 广场 lol

Why are there no refugees fleeing to neighbouring countries then? Other recent genocides like Rwanda, Myanmar, Kurds create masses of refugees that we all see on tv. I do see plenty of economic refugees sleeping on the streets of San Francisco and LA though.

Galaxy SOHO, like all other SOHO properties, are poorly designed (other than for esthetics) shoddily constructed (cracks everywhere), and extremely poorly managed. Most stores do not survive past a year in their developments.
