I just finished watching this movie and its INCREDIBLE. Its a shame this didn't go to theaters because I think it would have done really good there. I think that this movie also did cameos and Easter eggs right unlike other movies that just did them for nostalgia bate like space jam 2

All this movie seemed to do is re-use tons of sight-gags and nostalgia. Is it funny to point it all out. Maybe. But what's even better is to just go watch the original. Why see old Naruto when I can just watch Naruto? Why did Ugly Sonic when I can just watch Sonic SATAM? Gags are like fads. They don't last.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit is still one of my favorite films, its a goofy detective movie parody that seamlessly blends cartoons and live-action, so this film finally scratched that itch that I've had for so long. It was so amazing to see how well it all came together, and how they went the extra mile to not just include 2d characters, but 3d and stop motion characters as well.

Oh, I definitely caught a couple of darker references in there. The Stinky Cheese and the “Addicted Mice” are references for drugs, as Monty’s life fell apart after becoming addicted to the stinky cheese… Not to mention, when Chip and Dale are disguised as plumbers at some point, there’s this pig that says “I get the kids on the weekends, but it’s not the same.” Like y’all really put divorce in there 😭😭

Finished this film yesterday and man this was amazing. From the minor to big easter eggs and the story and the jokes and the dynamic of cartoons being bootlegs and the chip n dale dynamic. This was a amazing 10/10 for me in my opinion.

The biggest surprise cameo for me was Randy Marsh. I also think the head of transformed Peter was part Aristocat Cat and part Fat Cat from the TV show given how his hair looked and also sometimes the voice switched to Fat Cat's.

Firstly, no they didn’t get Sega’s permission they just changed the character’s look and name enough so they could say it was a parody, just like bootlegging lol. Second, yeah it does happen in the Roger Rabbit universe, i think it’s after the events of the movie, hopefully they make another movie for it

@@thefantasticretroreviewer3941 here some history; in 2019 a trailer for the first Sonic movie was published on KZfaq and when people saw it, they were loathing the hell out of it. The design of Sonic (the ugly one/manhog) was unpleasant to look at and extremely uncanny. You can look up pictures of that design and compare it to the redesign of Sonic. It’s night and day. Back on topic, the trailer was so hated that Paramount actually had to delay the movie to Valentine’s Day 2020 and redesign Sonic into what we see now. A design that’s more like the games. It made Sonic fans pleased and happy. Because of that the first movie became a success which confirmed a sequel in the works. 2 years later (this year 2022), Sonic the Hedgehog 2 released in theaters on April 8th and fans loved the sequel thus making it another success in the box office. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is confirmed and only time will tell when they announce the production of the film.

When Peter Pan told Chip he was always more of a Chipmunks guy, Chip responds with, "You monster" on the table were a lot of torture tools, Pan grabs the eraser, but NEXT to the eraser was a bottle of DIP. Nice additional nod to Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

I am glad that everyone had a good time with this. My personal favorite cameo was The Beavis and Butthead one on the bus stop. I keeled over laughing.

I loved the old show, but was not gonna watch this until your convincing review. I absolutely loved it. Especially Allen Oppenheimer reprising Skeletor. So good. Clever and hilarious film. Thanks for pushing me to give it a chance.

The character Mixed with Samurai Jack could be Blacksad. A detective panther from a French comic book, which is a weirdly deep cut but I love it!

I didn't plan on watching this movie, just not something that I was interested in, but the premise does sound awesome, and I love the sneaky loopholes to get non Disney owned characters in. All the parodies sound hilarious.

even if loophole they still had to ask to use the Chars ... the Batman vs ET ...has their names on it. Nowasays you even have to ask to use a Name ... so no way they didnt asked. They asked Warner and Warner allowed it .. and itsgreat

Loved this movie, loved the references and I'll take John Mulaney in anything haha. And it was kind of a little dark with the Villian choice and motive. For anyone who doesn't know, The voice actor who played Peter Pan in the original, was shunned by Hollywood after he voiced the roll, until he fell into drugs and ended up killing himself. I'm not sure if that was a choice by the writer or not.

holy heck that's dark! Just looked up Bobbie Driscoll, the voice actor and model for the1950's Peter Pan, and you're right, man his story is sad... and it's interesting that the new C&D RR movie did indeed seem to take much inspiration of that into the portrayal of Peter Pan in this movie...

I absolutely loved this movie and loved seeing all the cameos. I was trying to figure out the Henchmen White Bear in the Red Vest. Was he one of the Coca-Cola Bears (since he had the red vest) or was it the bear from the Golden Compass?

This movie gave me modern who framed Roger rabbit vides and was way better that I ever expected mostly because they weren’t afraid of making the animated characters the stars of their own movie
