Probably the finest, most expressive performance of the Funeral March , itself,I've ever heard. It really held my attention. BRAVO! The bizarre timbr of the old Pleyel seems better suited to this than the modern concert grand. INTERESTING!

Ce garçon a le mérite de s´exprimer sur un fortepianp Pleyel ancien qu´il fait sonner sensiblement malgré ces raucités de bois.(au contraire des finesses directement immédiates sorties d´un piano contemporain) Quelle force nerveuse il déploie et quelles retenues sensibles dans les passages mélodiques...la marche funèbre est pleine de tendresse sans débordements lénifiants..Pour un jeune de cet âge...on en est et on en a le souffle suspendu...et cet aspect du fatum implacable...et l´échappé finale de l´âme qui d´en va... tout cela rendu de façon précise et nette...Parfait !

SAITO Yuki yeup. Its supposed to be played in a slower manner. Blew through this piece in rocket time

Amm...i wrote not goodly. i meant, ''you mean too fast at the first slow part of 1st mov.?'' but it seems you didn't. I think chopin wrote Grave for only the first slow part of 1st mov. and from 'Doppio tempo'' it's not Grave . because this style and writing manner can be seen from baroque pieces. Choppy tempo... isn't it ''rubato''?

SAITO Yuki very choppy in the phrases.. no clear legato. And wayy too much rubato. Almost losing a clean pulse .

SAITO Yuki rubato is there to simply add an expressive effect. But it is much overused, mainly as a tool for not knowing what the heck your actually playing. Rubato is so bad in todays time, that it simply has a bad name...

Playing very capable, of course, but WHY would anyone want to WASTE such a fine, well-traned talent perfoming on what sounds like a long-neglected Church Basment upright from a long-deserted Sunday School room in a church that's gone out of businness?
