I have a feeling that the phone call must have just ended, but I didnt realize he was busy, I just ended up telling "Holy shit, you're Chris Hansen!" And he said "Yes, I am. And what's your name?" I told him and he asked if I was in the city for work, I told him school, and he asked me all about school-- it was great

@@jonroth123 at 21:00 he writes about people soliciting him to be their own private investigator online and trying to interrupt him while he's getting on planes. At 55:00 he mentions being recognized (specifically on the streets of Manhattan too) and just generally about being famous. At 1:23:00 - 1:27:00 He talks about being approached by victims and also funny interactions with people who thought they were gonna be caught on tv. There is another moment where he mentions a guy saying his girlfriend getting turned on by his show. Obviously he is a normal dude and has a range of feelings on people approaching him depending on the context. Like I said, my interaction with him was good and he engaged with me and asked about my personal life. If he didnt want to be bothered or was annoyed he wouldn't bother to ask me if I worked around there, where I go to college or what my major is. I was just gonna say hi and he made it into a memorable experience by being extremely friendly. He could have waved and moved on, but he didn't; hence, why I said "he is a stand up guy."

I think he was thinking of the women that are into courting incarcerated serial killers but he forgets that most women have had their bodies violated at some point in their life. Testicles are not remotely comparable to breasts, both in location on the bodies (likelihood to accidental have physical contact with someone's chest verses someone's pelvic region) and in general aesthetics of what men and women find attractive. You didn't mention having your crotch fondled, which is far better of a comparison than your breasts being fondled as they are actually in the same area of both genders' bodies. I don't know if you've ever actually played sports, but it's very easy to touch someone's chest accidentally in basketball for instance. Have done it millions of times with other men. You go to swat the ball out of their hands and hit their chest. Nothing sinister at all about it. Whereas, how many times does that happen with another man's crotch area? Not at all from what I can remember. Secondly, breasts are considered universally attractive to men and are far more front and center compared to testicles, which are not considered attractive at all to women and are always hidden. Theo interviews in such a way that he has no agenda or perceptions of guests. He asks out of pure curiosity what he needs to personally understand about his thoughts on a subject.

Huge fan of Theo Von and his interviews are so funny. But I get a bit annoyed when Theo sometimes fills the quiet moments with a half concocted question, starting with "ummm so do you uhhh... ever feel like ummm..." as he searches his brain for a question thats relevant to the conversation. Also, when he's doing a bit that's disguised as a true story from his childhood or just his past in general, but he's actually making it up or heavily embellishing on the the details, he'll reply to every question with an immediate "huh" to give that split second to form an interesting reply in his head, then he'll answer the question. That's what little kids do when they're lying about something.

When I was 15 AOL instant messaging was a thing. I was supposedly speaking with a boy at the time who was 17. We agreed to meet at a park, and he asked me to come alone. I brought 4 friends (thank god) when he showed up in his car he was clearly late 20’s early 30’s I walked down the hill to meet him and I said “hey I thought you were 17!?” He sees me & my friends and says “I thought I said come alone” he turned away and got into his car and drove away. Of course I was too stupid to report it or see the bigger problem. Point being kids do stupid shit- monitor your children’s internet use because I guarantee even the smartest kids can be naive and make bad judgement calls

As a former flight attendant (and police officer), we were trained on spotting human trafficking -- and I can promise you that FAs are one of the best front line spotters & reporters of helping to catch those sick fucks. I appreciate Chris mentioning us!

Chris is a great interview. Many times theo was having a bit of trouble trying to articulate his question and chris knew immediatly and cut him off to answer it. He actually listens and puts some thought into his answers. Thats a rare trait these days.

Theo paid to fly him out to LA and put him up in a nice hotel for a night, but Hansen tried staying 2 extra nights and racked up a big room service bill. I'm not 100 percent sure on this last part, but I think they got lucky and were able to get the hotel to make Hansen pay just as he was trying to slink out.

We need to share share share get it out to the public people need to realize how much this man is done for a society all over the US and for how many potential children would have been victims whether he directly stopped it or indirectly stopped it by having his TV show and parents watching it with the kids and saying this is what could happen the man is a goddamn hero and he deserves a lot more respect than when he gets just because he's made some late car payments or mortgage payment or whatever who the f*** hasn't he's only human but touching kids and making a late payment are nowhere near the same comparison so people that try to rub his name into the mud because he's not such a great guy with money they need to get a life because this dude did way more by keeping our children safe and worrying about some damn car payment or a lawyer fee or whatever unfortunately Vince his old business partner was a scumbag who through Christ under the bus for all kinds of copyright s*** that was online that nobody actually has a fact straight about Chris did a 3-hour podcast and even had Vince on there and Vince just completely backed himself into a corner and contradicted himself throughout the whole hour he was on there Vince was in is the villain Chris is a hero. And he deserves way more credit and he should have multiple Awards for the work that he's done not just in how to catch a predator but all the war things he's done as a journals veteran things scientific researchers for diseases the man has done so much in his life and hasn't got the credit he deserves we live inside today where we're so quick to judge somebody just because of something they laugh at or smile or say or something that happened 40 f****** years ago we take it out on today which isn't even remotely right we've all done stuff in our past that we regret and said things in our pastor regret if that was come back 20 30 40 years later to hunt us we feel pretty pissed off so you can only imagine how all these celebrities feel man's awesome just for that one show alone How To Catch a Predator he's always going to be here on my book and I'll be one problem man to shake his hand and tell him thank you for keeping our kids safer.

The way Chris describes the path to opiate addiction is exactly the way it happened for me, beginning in my sophomore year of high school. Hardly any of the people who are OD’ing on fentanyl are seeking it out. It’s simply cheaper for the dealers. I don’t think a lot of people understand that. That’s why I appreciate Chris Hansen’s candidness and compassion for those who are addicted to chemicals ✌️

Me too bud. I started late late late in life. Like 24yrs old but was a severely heavily alcoholic before that but when I found out about oxys and 1 80 OC could fuck me up and make me feel incredible without having such a shitty hangover and at first I'd be great for like 2 days then it becomes 1 a day, 2 a day then 3 and so on until up to 7-8 80's a day just to maintain not even getting high anymore unless I started missing with Xanax or whatnot to be completely totaled. Next I knew I had to sign up for treatment go to the methadone clinic but that's a false hope and after 15 yrs going absolutely nowhere while in there I tell people these days Fuck methadone it's the governments legal heroine cause they let patients get as high as they want like 500 600mgs I've seen which is fucking ridiculous and these people been going for 20 yrs! So these days I strongly recommend suboxone which you can't get high from taking orally and has opiate blockers in it. It saved my life. 15yrs on done nothing changed within 1&1/2 months on subs I got a GREAT job (which 6yrs later I stil have) I got my license back thereafter a newer truck and a beautiful place to live and I'm happy to be alive these days and I never EVER have to worry about being "dope sick" ever again! It works if you want to be clean and not get high. If someone isn't ready to give up that high then it will not work 100% like saying goes, That person has to be ready to quit for themselves nobody else. 💯💯💯👏

I love Chris Hanson and Theo so I had to watch this. I especially appreciate how Theo was so professional and tried to slip 3-4 crude jokes in but saw Chris wasn't with it and switched back to being such a Pro. Theo can clown around with comedians and be silly in general but this just showed me how amazing he is at asking really good questions during more serious interviews.
