So wouldnt it be wise for them to think a little bit and take anything with a grain of salt, which they already should be doing, and wait until stuff gets verified, if it turns out to be such a big problem people are so scared about. Again, fakes have been around forever, as are the measures to identify them. No need to ban stuff because everybody admits they're stupid.

The reason this is scary is that there are no rules and regulation for it, and the technology gets easier and easier so that any person with a computer and a camera can make it. So making rules and regulations for it is very difficult. Just as difficult as it is to regulate internett piracy from streaming and uploading files, it's the same or similar hard to do that to this type of technology.

Chris Pratt wasn’t a prominent actor back in the day. Shia was just getting out of Transformers (2007) which was massively successful and he was hot in demand and he now had both Steven Spielberg and Michael Bay to vouch for him for any potential films.

That's one thing I've noticed with deepfakes. They make you realize how much of an actor's performance is in the physical movements and mannerisms. It's so much more than the face.

His voice really isn't "Han" enough if you know what I mean.... Harrison Ford will always have the unique voice that really distinguished Han and Indiana out of any other characters in movie history. Although I liked the Solo movie, the dude's voice just didn't do justice to the character he was portraying, y'know? Chris Pratt has a perfect face for it though, maybe he'll get a shot at it in the future.

Nobody needs to fill anything. Indy is done, and I wish it stayed that way one movie ago That being said, Chris is charismatic, but I don't think he's a great actor. He's a slightly more funny, slightly less handsome Chris Hemsworth .

You should check out Anthony Ingruber. He does a PERFECT(!!!) Han Solo impression, and Joker impression as well, at that. But then, he actually was the Joker once-

As much as I like Chris Pratt, I think he's too old. Should he take over the franchise on the spot, they make like 2 films and he is over 50. If one were to plan to reinvent the Indiana Jones franchise (maybe with a successor rather than a reboot) I'd take someone in their 20s. Just like they are now doing with Uncharted with Tom Holland. He would have to have charisma but not a Harrison Ford clone. They should make the franchise their own. Then it works too.

The moment I heard Harrison's deep voice with Chris Pratt's face it threw me off.

Agree, Pratt's voice his higher pitched than Harrison's, but Pratt can work on that. If you see his character Starlord imitating Thor in the Avengers, Pratt speaks with a deeper voice that closer matches Harrison's. With a bit more of a 'manly' voice and of course good writing, Pratt would be a fantastic Indiana Jones.

Definently don't remake any old Indy movies. But theres so much potential to just do other adventures we didn't get to see, but with simply a recast.

Daniel Rice blockbuster movie companies are in the habit of going with something safe and accepted rather than ambitious and new. I wish they would throw caution to the wind and try something that might be unpopular.

Next Indiana Jones will probably be ... A Indiana Jane I'm afraid. Spielberg himself said so.

That’s the problem people doing fantasy casting aren’t realizing - you can’t recast a role by having someone do an impression, that’s a disservice to both actors and diminishes their work. People keep bringing up Anthony Ingruber who does a lovely job impersonating Ford... but should never be cast to take over his roles if he is just going to copy him. And Pratt can play any number of salt of the earth blue collar types, but I don’t think he can pull off the Thinking Man’s Action Hero quality that Ford has always cornered.

I did hear a rumor at one point that the next Indy movie would involve extensive flashbacks featuring a de-aged Harrison Ford.

We would never know for sure unless he were cat in the role. There have been many actors cast in iconic roles which many people claim they are not right for... Until they actually see the performance. Then suddenly, that actor is that character and nobody else can play the role... Of course, IF Chris Pratt were to be offered the role if Indy, and if he were to accept, then he will have so much more to do than just put on the leather jacket and fedora... He needs to study every scene of Indy from the movies. Body language, facial expressions, voice inflection. He does not have to sound like Harrison Ford, but he does need to perform like him. That would be a real test of his acting ability. He would be, in a way, playing two roles at once. And not through some trick of special effects. When I saw River Phoenix and Sean Patrick Flannery playing Young Indy, I recall how they nailed the Indy mannerisms. They got the body language, facial expressions and voice inflections spot on. They sold it successfully to audiences. Hypothetically speaking, If Chris Pratt can do the same, then audiences would accept him in the role as well...

it's not a question of charm because Pratt has plenty, it's just that he's not the right fit for the role. He has that innocent demeanor.
