Chris did live up to his expectations he was great when he played. Injury derailed his career and slowed him down took away his explosiveness. We all know the Kings got cheated and really did beat the Lakers that year. They would have won the NBA championship. I still wish that Washington team stayed together. C-Webb, Juwan Howard, Rod Strickland, G.Muresan, Rasheed Wallace, Calbert Chaney, Ben Wallace, that team was loaded! Even though the Bulls swept them n the playoffs its wasn't easy. Even Jordan said how tough that Washington team would be in the future.

CWeb for the Hall! I think he didn't fully live up to his potential, but HOF nothingtheless. I think if he was more determined to play more inside he would have been greater. He played a lot outside, bug he was physically superior the a lot of the big guys he went against. He didn't like playing center, which was understandable, being a natural,power forward, but think he would have been better served playing closer to the basket. He was strong and had those incredible hands. Instead of being a 20/10 guy, I think he could have been more like a 24/11.5 guy....he was that talented. Love the guy though and he still deserves to be in HOF for sure!!! :)

Most people don't realize that if Webber had played for the Iverson-era 76ers they would've won a ring in '01. He couldn't do it in Sacramento because the Western conference was very very competitive. But boy do I miss the Kings during that new millennium era.

Chris J Productionz The Kings 👑 were the most unselfish team in the NBA The reason why The Kings 👑 didn’t beat LA Two words: Dick Bavetta The refs rigged Game 6 of the Conference Finals between the Kings & the LA Lakers at the Staples Center The seventh game the Kings couldn’t get it done vs LA (2002)
@joesakic91
@joesakic91 5 жыл бұрын
@@dumisatonyjohnson8145 Until the Splash Brother era Golden State Warriors came along and made unselfish team basketball even better with NBA titles. Btw, people can talk about Games 6 and 7 of the 2002 WCF against the Lakers, but they overlook Game 4 where in my opinion, that game was a heavy, if not, a killer blow for the Kings. Think about that for a second. Sure, it was controversial when Samaki Walker's trey, despite a full second after the buzzer, was called good. But the Kings had the lead for most of that game and all they had to do is to grab one rebound on the final play. Instead of grabbing Shaq's putback miss, Vlade Divac slapped the ball to Robert Horry. By the time Chris Webber got to Horry, it was too late and Horry got a good look to nail that game-winning trey. Win that game, the Kings would've went up 3-1, but didn't.

If you are a true basketball fan, you can trace back to Chris' basketball journey from his high school days, to his astonishing run at Michigan with the fab 5 and all the positiving things that he has done for the league. Thanks for uploading the video "ezequiascordero", hopefully all viewers will re-appreciate just what a fine athlete Chris Webber was.

I think it would the biggest mistake not to put C Webb in the Hall of Fame. He was recruited by scout since he was 12 because he could dunk and could play good basketball. He was the top prospect, and was probably the biggest reason why Michigan made it to the National Championship games. The big thing that might prevent it would be the sanctions, but considering the circumstances can you blame him for anything other than the way he went about the whole situation? He demonstrated that he was one of the greatest PFs to play the game, he got even better than what he was in college. ROY, all stars, and while he didnt win a title, he revived a franchise. He pretty much average 21 points and 10 rebounds in his career despite the career altering injury.

As I have posted earlier. I have read sources that suggested Webber was privately for the trade with the 76ers. He did alot of belly aching before he re-signed with the Kings as well. Seriously considered taking less money and signing with the Pistons. Despite the success he had with the Kings. I think Webber not finishing his career with the Kings was wrong though. He lost some of that aura by being remembered for one team and kind of became a journey playing for five teams in his career.
@BWalker9313
@BWalker9313 4 жыл бұрын
He got robbed in Sacramento, plain and simple. He was still putting up a ton of points when he got traded, averaging 20 and 10, shot his best FT% and almost 38% from 3. They just needed more depth at the forward and Center spot. I don’t know how they can say he gave nothing to the 76’ers, he averaged 20 and 10 for them one year playing like 75 games. That team just wasn’t built well and that’s when Iverson was starting to slip, but it wasn’t his fault. If they could’ve kept Ben and had Webb come in as well, I think Detroit could’ve made another big run for a title. They didn’t have that big man down low grabbing rebounds like Wallace could. If Webb and Mcdyess were coming off the bench for that team, they would’ve been a big threat going into the finals. Absolute shame man, he was such an amazing player.

I think the video used alot of poetic licence. Like "Webber found a home in Sacramento and resigned with the Kings". Webber did alot of belly aching before he resigned with Sacramento, and seriously considered signing with Detroit who's offer was lower then the Kings. Also his Dad suggested that was so upset he was traded from the Kings. From memory I read murmurs that Webber wasn't against being traded out of Sacramento before the trade happened.
