Gingerbread cookies, popcorn garlands, & dried orange slices decorate this old fashioned country style Christmas tree! Many of these ornaments were handmade, making this tree into a fun Christmas craft! Finding the elegance and Christmas spirit in simplicity, this tree's design is composed of thoughtfully crafted & placed ornaments to create a cozy nostalgic holiday display! With handmade salt dough cookies, you can personalize the ornaments to fit your style - and decorating them is a blast for the whole family!
If you would like to make your own cookies, search "Salt Dough Gingerbread Cookies" on google and check out the recipes that show up. I also wanted to mention that I sprayed the cookies with a matte acrylic spray once they were completely dried and cooled to hopefully make them last for years! :)

Amen! Most of the time professionally and stylized trees are so loaded with ornaments that you can’t see the tree! I never understand they.

Your tree turned out so beautiful in it's simplicity. More so, I love the nostalgia of the pine cones from grandma and the family cookie cutters to make the ornaments. I tried drying orange slices in the oven a few years ago but they didn't turn out, Yours look perfect! You have such a beautiful home filled with heartfelt keepsakes.

I loved the outro music! So pretty and sort of bluegrassy, reminds me of my home in the Smoky Mountains of TN. The spinning wheel added to the antique country feel, and I love the way the lights reflected off the windows. Almost seemed like a person in a beautiful ball gown admiring thier reflection in one of those 3 way mirrors.

I came across a ribbon , by accident and I think it cool . Well it fit my cabin in the woods look , so I came across wired red and black checked ribbon and paired with a white lace ribbon . Paired with white flowers , red berries , lights and birds red and white. Then I wrapped the garnlet around the post that has selves , and my deer and moose hanger .Which holds my frying pan and my oven mitts. Just love love it

very cozy. I love the look of a trees reflection in a mirror or windows, making the light magical. I have a large mirror in my bedroom that reflects across to the very large window across out into the garden. At night it looks like I have lit trees out in the garden but its just a reflection of my tree in the mirror.. looking like 2 in my bedroom and two out in the dark garden... love it

It is so refreshing to see a classy, traditional country Christmas tree in the age of pile on as much as the poor tree will hold. There is no sign of evergreen on trees when they finish. I absolutely love your style and all of your creations.

I like the way you dress up the tree. It’s organic and you can still appreciate the tree itself without overdoing the decorations. Most would cover the tree with too many trimmings. Less is more. I will certainly do the dehydrated oranges for the tree. Good idea!

Your salt dough cookies are wonderful. I'm going to make some paper ones, using a Tim Holtz die. I have made, in the past, the applesauce cinnamon ornaments and was so surprised at how easy they are to make, and the best part is they are scented. I cut them in traditional Christmas icons and left the gingerbread men plain as is and painted the stars, bells, trees. They keep well too. I've had my for several years now.
