Same here. I love Opeth, Metallica, Cradle of Filth etc. but I've always loved 80s music like Depeche Mode and Ultravox. This resurgence of synth pop with bands like Chvrches, Gunship and The Midnight is where the real creativity lies in modern pop music.

Ugh, it doesn't matter what genres you're into and not into, anyone can enjoy any type of music! It's the 2020s, seriously this notion of music stigma -- I guess I'd call it -- is ridiculous at this point! There's no point in feeling ashamed of liking the music you like or having to explain why you like it, just listen to the art and enjoy it!

I just love her youthful-sounding voice. I just spent a 1/2 hour finding this, again. Every Chvrches song I was exposed to is fantastic. I put them up high with The Cranberries, Beatles, Tull, ELP, etc.
