I cannot begin to express the joy I had in watching this video. I used to own one of these Honda's. I purchased one when I lived in LA 1991. When I purchased this car it was just a few years old, but it looked brand, spankin' news. Man, how I loved that car! When I moved back to NY, I drove it across the country in just 4-days! But, sadly enough, that's when I lost the car. It started with one break in, then another break in, then it was vandalized and I finally just sold it because I didn't want to keep dumping money into repairs and glass replacements. Still, of all the cars that I owned, this one was one of my favorites. So, watching this restoration video was especially enjoyable for me! You do fantastic work, my friend.

There's just something about these late 80s to late 90s Honda's that seems magical. Engineered with such attention to detail, yet simplistic enough to take apart. Every part had a purpose and was designed to be as easy to remove as it is to put on. That being said, your work and car is gorgeous. A true craftsman and artist.

Wow, it came out amazing, not to mention going by the OEM+ route is in my opinion the best way to go when it comes to these 90's cars. Always had a soft spot for these generation of CRX's and Second Generation Eclipses since i was a kid, yet i always remember this gen's CRX everywhere back in highscool. In my opinion, 90's cars has always had a special charm that hasn't been able to be replicated with today's cars.

I had a 91. Boosted the D series. Blew it up. Swapped in a JDM GSR and that thing bone stock, gutted interior ran a 13.3 1/4 which was pretty fricken fast for like 2004. Then I spent way too much money building up a GSR stroker block sleeved and decked to 2.1L aiming for 280-300whp NA. Basically built it, got it running. Drove it on a base tune for a week. Parked for winter. Decided I was gonna do the body work over winter, stripped the car down to bare metal. Got a new project. Parked the car outside like an idiot and left it for 2 years due to no time. Completely rusted out. Scrapped the shell. Sold the motor and parted it out. I miss that car. Most fun I've ever had driving around. It's like a little go-kart.

As a loyal honda fan since high school (1996), I really want to thank you for this video. I remember going to a dealership during the first summer after I graduated HS and sitting in a red 1991 CRX. I worked the whole summer trying to make enough money for a down payment that never happened, but I sure wanted a honda. I bought my first Honda in 1999 and that's still my brand after 24 yrs. I feel old remembering this but hey you can't stop time. ❤

It was a total pleasure to see this JDM classic properly restored like new. You are one of the few other people I have seen on KZfaq with the skills to do a full restoration like Mad4Motors does. Keep up the good work and I hope to see more JDM classics being restored.

Man this brings me back to my teens. My grandmother used to have a CRX, and I didn't take it when she died because I was too busy screwing around with a Del Sol. This makes me regret not taking it when I had the chance. Great job on this one. Super clean. I'm vicariously living my rebuild dreams through you.

No, thank you! I've watched this video at least a dozen times, and pick up something new every time. Your knowledge, skill, and passion absolutely come through in every frame. This should be essential viewing for anyone that is restoring their vehicle. Absolute perfection. Can't wait to see more of your work. Keep it up, sir.

Such a masterpiece. Loved it when I had this vehicle. Best car I ever had no issues, always great on gas felt like I would get almost 50 miles per gallon. Was just an amazing car to learn how to drive stick with. Best car a single person could have back then and even now. Wish they would kept making these.

You are correct this vehicle at its prime will give up to 50 miles per gallon unloaded. 🎉

YT reccomended actually giving me one of the best and most thoughtful restorations I’ve ever seen. Very well done my friend I know this had to of spanned probably a year and a few months worth of work, parts ordering, and other things. It’s amazing how much detail and effort you’d put into this. Thank you for sharing the journey with all of us. 💯

I can see that the work that was put into this car was beyond what was presented in this 30min video, like the polishing of the paint job and the seats. I should definitely watch the more in depth videos on this, really cool and inspiring
