Words very cleverly arranged in truth. "'Searching for a remedy..."' We dont know your pain but we know ours as a collective conscious community. Something I learned standing next to Russell Means more than once, soaking in the words of an older generation's pain...all the same pain. Some say the Apple doesn't fall far from the tree, and that's true, but you have taken that apple and made the tree proud by reaching your own generation with a brand new interpretation of YOUR collective pain. Your message is heard! Thank you!

I am one of the people God of Roar was talking about. With that said, they challenged me to come here and tell you these three things, 1. Trump is making things better and that you have a fair shot, 2.) you have to actually work for the American dream, and 3.) that there is no genocide of the native peoples. I stand by all of these points. Trump was not responsible for what happened at Pine Ridge. Pine Ridge was a *natural disaster* that couldn't have been avoided. The reason why government funding wasn't distributed immediately following the natural disaster was because government funds had already been given previously. The American government paid the tribe in the area millions of dollars for use of their land in the production of the Keystone Pipeline just a few months prior to the natural disaster. It was not fiscally sound to dole out even more money after such a short period of time had passed since the previous influx of government funds. Obama had refused to do anything with the pipeline, even though doing so would've benefited everyone involved greatly, including those that lived on the reservation. Trump on the other hand tried to go forward with the project which resulted in the native peoples being given millions more dollars from the government that they wouldn't have gotten otherwise. So Trump is/was making things better for the native people, as well as the American populace in general. As far as you having a fair shot, there are no restrictions, laws, or regulations from the American government that are precluding you from obtaining the same thing that everyone else in America possibly can. Everyone has to work for the American dream. I can't make that any simpler than I already have. No need to elaborate further. There is no genocide of the native peoples that is taking place at this time in history. To say otherwise would be a lie, and I for one prefer to be an honest person.

@God of Roar So you want someone that flips burgers to make the same amount of money as a lab tech that works on vaccines and medicines? Because that is what most lab techs make, about $15-$20 an hour depending on the company. You think someone changing tires should get the same amount per hour as someone who works as a welder/fabricator specialist on aircraft and submarines? Because again they make between $15-$20 an hour depending on the company. IF companies were forced to suddenly pay all their employees $15 an hour, many of those small businesses would close down because they wouldn't be able to keep up with payroll. Places like Walmart would have to double or even triple the cost of many of their products just to afford to pay their employees, and maintain a profit so they can keep the business going. So what do you think is better, a company closing down and not being able to pay people ANYTHING, or a company staying in business and being able to give their employees SOMETHING? SOMETHING, depending on the situation, is better than NOTHING at all. As far as the lowest wage I'd be willing to work before going on strike? Well that would be really hard for me as I own my own business. If I went on strike it wouldn't just hurt me it would hurt all of my employees as well. Now, when my business first started out, before it became profitable there were months that I had to dip into savings, and received no pay for the work I was doing. The people that worked for me got paid but I didn't pay myself because I had to reinvest it into the business so that one day it would become profitable. So I have literally worked for ZERO dollars before, so does that answer your question?
@xSamWaynex
@xSamWaynex 4 жыл бұрын
@God of Roar No it isn't just a capitalist talking point it is a FACT that you don't want to deal with. A company would have to raise the cost of their goods in order to both *try* and maintain a profit margin, and *try* to be able to pay their employees TWICE as much as they were previously. Let's break it down like this....Let's say a company makes a certain product that they sell to big box stores for $4 per unit because the big box stores are buying mass quantities of the product. Those big box stores then turn around and sell said product to the direct consumer for $7. After allocating funds for stocking, storage, taxes, and everything else, let's say the big box stores end up making $1.50 per unit sold. People get used to buying the product for $7 and the big box stores are comfortable with the $1.50 per unit they made off of the product. Now suddenly the company that makes that product has to double the wages of all their employees. So they up the cost to the big box stores by an additional $4 per unit to help cover the increase in employee wages that they have to pay. So now the big box stores are having to pay $8 per unit. Which means they have to start selling the product at their stores for an additional $5.50 just to maintain their $1.50 profit margin. Which means the product goes from costing everyone $7 per unit, to costing them $12.50 per unit. The product is the same as it was before. The only difference is the higher price. So many people stop buying *that* product and start buying a lower priced product in the same genre. The big box stores lower the number of units they buy of this product because fewer of their customers are buying said product. So now the company that makes the product is having to pay their employees twice as much, but they are raking in a lesser amount of money. Because they are raking in less money they have to lay off people and close down certain areas in order to try and keep the business afloat. Eventually that company will either be downsized permanently or they will have to close their doors. It really is that simple. So no not a talking point, but a fact. Now in Denmark the lower class pay about 20% of their income into taxes, where as the middle class pay about 35%-40%, and the upper class pay about 50% of their income into taxes. The lower taxes for the people working at McDonald's coupled with the higher taxes coming from the other two tax brackets is what allows them to do this. And guess what, this has actually HURT Denmark's economy. Their productivity is down across all markets. The average person works about 28 hours a week, not because they choose to, but because they HAVE to because of the fact that productivity is down across all markets. Now about that whole Amazon thing....That wasn't Bernie's doing. Bezos decided to increase the starting wage at his company to $15 an hour. If a company can afford to pay their employees that starting wage, then I have no problem with them doing that. The sad truth is that not every company can afford to do that. I own my own business, and my guys, with zero training whatsoever, start out at $10 an hour. For the area I live in that is actually above the norm by a factor of about $1.50 per hour. Like I said not all businesses can afford to pay their employees $15 an hour, and since you still haven't answered my question I will ask it again, what do you think is better a company remaining open and being able to pay their employees SOMETHING or shutting down and not being able to pay them ANYTHING? As far as the answer to your socialist question, I said it was more complicated to answer, yet I still provided one, so how about you provide me with an answer to my "capitalist question"?

@God of Roar I don't know shit? You freely admitted that you didn't know if what you were saying was true or not. Seriously educate yourself. Cite some reputable sources instead of constantly getting me to view other videos. I cited reputable sources to prove my points. I gave you sound, logical, and rational thought to back up what I was saying, and what did you give me? Another youtube video that doesn't prove shit. Seriously you need to get over yourself. You are clearly not as smart as you think you are man. That's not an insult either, that is just an accurate observation. I will say this once more for emphasis, and then I'm done.... EDUCATE YOURSELF. And when I say educate yourself, I mean do some actual research on something. Look into an unbiased source. A source that presents the facts and has no agenda attached. Until you do so you will continue to come off sounding like someone who has no idea what they are actually talking about. I would use a harsher word to describe you but if I did KZfaq wouldn't allow my comment to post.
