They eventually started dating and Adam moved in with Heather, her ex-girlfriend and another girl. At first he thought, this would be exciting, but then things started to bother him. Divorce court is not a quick fix. Ongoing situations, issues and problems; people really need to explore the opportunity of counseling and therapy. It seems like people want a quick fix for long-term problems and that's not how you get resolution. I wonder why folks don't consider doing couples counseling or marriage therapy and/or other forms of interventions before coming to divorce court. Just me thinking out loud.

When he first brought up the ring, I considered it a gift and would agree with the judge about him not being compensated for it. But the judge made him declare it an engagement ring. The laws do vary from state to state but, morally speaking, he deserved the ring back if there is no marriage.
