Idk about you but for me it was a healing cry. Going for healing cries isn't stupid but a very wise thing to do. We need to process this.

@@sophienugre4161 Same for me, it feels healing to cry but the wound is still very fresh. But I do like that people bring up his art and make it live on, and just watching videoes of him and hearing his music, cause even if it makes me break down in tears it also reminds me of his talent and artistry , and it slowly but surely heals the wound.

I was really just appreciating the music that he created in fact I even forgot I made this comment sorry if it bothered you I never meant for that to happened. I also never meant for it to be sad more of a happy thought. Because don’t we all want that kinda spring especially in the winter that we had this year?

That's kind of like the message of the song, I feel like he is telling us we'll make it through the winter (of losing him) and eventually to spring, but don't be sad for him because somehow he also found his spring in the end. Something like that, I feel it's supposed to be a comforting message, even if it feels so sad for us.

"his undying wish was that he wanted other people to make it through their winter" This has always been my understanding of this song. I believe he knew how his story would play out and he left this song with us to say just that. You'll get thru it, and it might seem like I didn't get my spring but just know I did too somehow. It's hope and comfort all in one, and that's what makes the song so equally comforting and painful to listen to.

Yes, that's what I think as well, and the "Always be with you" in Shinin' hits hard too. As you said, I also think he knew and he left a comforting message for us. Such a talented man with such a pure heart, what a gift he is to the world! You did well Jjong!

When some of the reactors talked about Jong in the present tense it got to me so much. I heard the word IS like it was sticking out and every time I heard it I was reminded that he's gone. idk, it's weird that that particular thing was what got to me. And what Henry said made me cry like a baby. Thank you for doing this. I'm so glad people are still appreciating his art and what he left behind and that we're still talking about him.

I don't know if the reactors knew that for Before Our Spring MV they used a lot of footage from Jonghyun 's final Concert that was held days before he left us . I can't help but see the sadness in his eyes. In one clip , it almost felt like his eyes were saying goodbye. Sorry for mentioning something so sad on his bday video

me too, i joined kpop like the day he was gone so I knew him the day after it, and it hit my like a train. all I know is I literally fell depressed? idek what I had, but yeah since then I developed panic attacks and in winter depression comes back, but at the same time I know I love him so much so I have nothing to blame to him

The clips where he's wearing a white suit were from his last Inspired concert and some of the clips were from the last show he did, almost a week before he died, where he looked around the audience with tears in his eyes, as if he wanted to remember what he was seeing for the last time.😭

In many Eastern cultures, however, white is symbolically linked to death and sadness. It's often a color used in funerals and other mourning rituals. It might also be connected because it was winter, hope he didnt suffer enough and he should be celebrated for the things that he did.

Beautiful. I really like how you guys didn't hang onto just the circumstances and looked at it just as you would if it was sung by any other artist. And well, it really gets frustrating even a year later when he gets praised and called perfect and isn't here to hear it. It's like he felt the perfection and just went "There. My work here is done."

Once in a while, I'll come back to this video reactions. 3 years, and I'm still crying with you guys when the last chorus of Jonghyun afraid that he might give his sadness to us appears. I still can't make myself stop crying whenever watching that part.

"Before our spring" is one of the most heartbreaking and beautiful songs to ever be made. Jonghyun is such a talanted, kind and one of a kind soul, I miss him everyday but I think he would want us to be happy and listening to his music makes me feel so alive and like I am not alone, like our shining star is watching over all of us. I'm a bit of an emotional mess after watching this but I really appreciate the reaction!

i knew at least one of them was gonna cry and i knew i would cry as well, at least before the video ends. that gaze of his at 9:56 will always get me. he seemed like he was capturing the moment before his eyes through his eyes so as to never forget that sight. and instead of "when, when, when" it would actually be better suited translated to, "then, then, then." "his musical message, his musical goodbye." :( "i don't want to share winter with you in hopes that i don't give it to you." i have never dug it that deep and now, my heart just hurts. and boy does henry's words hits close to home. it was so beautiful, as if patting you on the back, assuring you it's fine, and i just cried. "and just because it becomes spring doesn't mean the winter doesn't come back." exactly. thank you for your words.

I'm so happy for the reaction that Jonghyun is so convincing and genuine - which, the former I'll take because Kpop is such a machine - but yes because beyond his stellar vocal talent and taste for composition and production, and his sense of adventure for music, *Jonghyun loves music. And he loves people.* You get the sense that he uses music not defensively or as a way to hide in his comfort zone, but he uses his incredible gift to connect to people. He loves the craft of music, and he loves its power to connect to people, and finally *he loves people*. He loves people in a way he couldn't love himself. And that is perhaps the part that inspires me the most. His love for music, and art, and for people, and how perfectly that came together in this wonderful soul who was taken from us too soon.

I never really had the courage to watch Before Our Spring again, I only watched it the day it was released and cried like a baby. Today I cried hard again, because what really hurts me is that he was such a genius unique artist, he had such a beautiful soul, this world needed him so bad. I really really really wanted the spring to come for him too and it pains me deeply that it never did.

10:18 when the spring comes, of course, though 그땐 means "then" not "when" as far as I know and the ending has a different meaning in that case. "When I forget my tears and my sadness When spring comes to me too Then, then, then Then" And it's unfinished, because winter hasn't ended yet and the spring, when he will finally feel good again, will bring countless possibilities. And THEN we can meet, and THEN we can do all the things I'm too scared to do now, and THEN I will be myself and make you smile. Though to me, now that he's no longer with us anymore, winter is the immense sadness and pain, and spring is the afterlife, where he no longer experiences those feelings. So, when the spring finally comes then, then, then... And we don't know, because nobody knows, but I hope with all my heart that he's in a much better place now. You did well, Jjong

I knew this would make me a mess all over again, but I'm glad I watched it anyway. It's healing to know people are still being touched by him and his wishes, and my hope is that they continue to do so. I think Henry hit it on the head saying that "his greatest wish is for everyone else to make it through their winters" - he put so much time and effort into trying to offer comfort and support to others, through his radio show, his music, his social media, anywhere he could put his voice to. And I will remember that about him forever 💙

Seeing this made me tear up again. He really was my favorite artist of all time. Nobody spoke to me in the way that he did. I feel like if he mastered one thing it is conveying emotion and being vulnerable and honest with no shame. His voice was beautiful and I'm so grateful that I've got to watch him and admire him on his journey since 2013 and that I've got these five wonderful albums to listen to that he left behind. Forever thank you, Jonghyun. I will never forget you ❤️

I've actually never listened to 'Before our Spring', I am a Shawol, but I've only listened to 'Lonely', 'breath' and 'Shinin' ' I love his singing, but I can't bring myself to listen to it, unless it's these 3 songs or SHINee songs. It would throw me into a hole of sadness, that's why I always watch cute and funny videos of him, his death was something that happened at the end of his life but he has accomplished so many other AMAZING things. I wish I could have known and loved the REAL Jonghyun, without the facade, but from the snippets I got. I know I would have loved him so much.

It took me months, months to watch the videos and to listen the album. It hurted then, it hurts now, but it also has helped me to heal. He will always be my favorite artist, my favorite voice, the one who I can always count to understand me throught his music... I sincerely thank you for this tribute, the one thing I will always fight for is for him, and his legacy, not to be forgotten.

I’m crying so hard by just listening one note of jonghyun’s song. I miss him so much. His songs comfort me every time. His wish has been us being happy all the time. It always makes me feel so bad about his sadness. Just want to thank you for making this video. lt means a lot to me♥️

I struggled a lot last year with listening to Jonghyun’s music. I avoided it because I always felt so sad listening to his voice. But then I watched your End of a Day/She Is reaction and was moved by the reactors words. I can’t remember who said it, but one of the reactors said that every song is a piece of Jonghyun’s soul, and somehow that made me want to start listening to his music again because they are right. Listening to Jonghyun’s music is a celebration of who he is, and this reaction again reminded me of all of that. So thanks, for helping me get through my own winter and for keeping his memory alive.

I put off watching this yesterday because I knew I would cry. Right when Before Our Spring started I started tearing up and by the chorus I was balling my eyes out

i just learned that i still struggle to listen to "before our spring" (i haven't listened to it since he passed and the m/v makes things so much harder).... i've been putting off watching this, but thank you for leaving another tribute to him to keep his music alive

I sobbed while watching this, but I want to thank you so much for listening to his music and realizing his artistry. He was so incredibly talented and such a genius musician and will forever be missed. I'll always be thankful for him and for how his music helps me look forward to my own spring.

It’s a nice feeling to see people still appreciate Jonghyun’s music, but it also hurts to know they didn’t get to know how precious he is when he was here. Jonghyun may not have made it through his Winter, but he’s in his Spring now.

Thank you so much for this I was barely able to even be up for his birthday it was so hard to sit or watch this but I’m so happy that everyone could feel the power in his voice and share magnitude of love inviting warm ness of heart he had his music so happy everyone can see how special he was. still so hard not to cry either thank you posting so much for this all Shawols and SHINee well still healing together

분명 처음엔 클래식 전공자들의 리액션을 정주행하다가 종현이형 빛이나 영상이 있길래 들어왔는데 이 노래도 있었네요. 다른 영상들 볼땐 이분들이 하시는 얘기들이 그저 음악의 구성 정도에 대한 얘기 인줄로만 알았는데 제가 아는 종현이형의 음악과 가사, 노래하는것에 대해 얘기까지 하시는걸 보면서 종현이형에 대해 모르는 사람에게도 형의 음악이 충분히 전해졌고, 형이 하고싶던 말들이 전해졌다는 게 너무나도 감동이네요. 그리고 계속 아름답다고 하시고 형의 음악에 대해 칭찬 하실 때마다 너무나도 행복했어요. 영상(번역) 감사합니다.
