Kudos for continuing to film during an earthquake.

Could you remake this video and move the camera around a little more. I didn't throw up enough the first time.

alanhatedrummer- I'd suggest doing as I did in this video for reflectors and colorsounds. when it comes to those finishes, it is really easy to mess them up quickly. Rudes too. If you rub a colorsound or a Rude too hard, you can easily take off the finish. (And once you do that, they tarnish very quickly without the protective layer) As for "regular" finish cymbals, my best advice is to not let them get to the point of needing cleaned, which is easier said that done, I know. fingerprints can be easily removed in the same way I do in this video on newer cymbals. The thing is to not let them stay on the cymbal too long. Paiste Cleaner is good, but it will remove the layer if you're not careful. You CAN do so though, but you will need to seal off the cymbal IMMEDIATELY to avoid oxidation. I'll do a video in the future on how to do this.

It took me a month to notice you replied... Thanks for the answer. Does the cymbal protector actually work as the protective layer they come with from the factory? It's pretty expensive in my country(Mexico), but I've been thinking about getting one just for the "extreme" cases where I do need to use the cleaner.

They dont make paiste cymbal care products now so music nomad has worked for brilliant cymbals or meinl mb20s or byzance. What would be recommended now for paiste rude cymbals?

alanhatedrummer- the Paiste Protector works well for cymbals that haven't tarnished yet. It is good for adding to the layer to make sure it lasts. But, for tarnished cymbals I recommend a car wax called Liquid Glass. It's thicker than the Paiste Protector and helps keep it from tarnishing. I recommend 2 to 3 coats of Liquid Glass for added protection.

Pledge on a Paiste 2002 is like leaving a Roller outside in the winter.

I totally believe in your advice. After watching many of your videos I know you're not new to pAisTe lol. I need to ask a couple questions. What's the best way to clean RUDEs/Reflectors/Alpha Brilliant/Colorsound without ruining their finish? This assuming they all have stick marks and other kinds of filth quite harder to remove. Is it possible to "fix" a "normal" finish(2002, Sigs, non-brilliant Alphas, PSTs, etc) it's and older cymbal with oxidized parts? How can I clean those? My left crash has this problem and I want to clean it without destroying the logos or making it look a lot worse afterwards

On your next video, you should just get on a pogo stick while filming.; it would be awsome. Not
