I have terrible yellow stains on the linoleum floor in my bathroom. When I first moved in I tried several cleaners, but none of them worked. I researched a bit and today I'm going to try a solution of vinegar and baking soda along with a cleanser called the bar keeper's friend. I have used that one in the past for rust in a sink, tub and toilet and it worked well. I have my fingers crossed today that it will work!
Apparently, when older linoleum isn't exposed to light for long periods of time it can yellow. I believe that is what happened to my floor. Rugs were placed and never removed except for cleaning. There is a yellow outline on the floor where each rug was laid. It makes the bathroom seem dirty and I would be very embarrassed if company walked in there without any rugs to cover the stains. Kind of a catch 22, isn't it? Lol. Well, come along with me and let's see if SOMETHING can clean this floor. After all, I can't afford a new one just yet!
