I totally support this suggestion! (Y) Epica with Floor Jansen singing Sancta Terra is one of my favourite songs. That combination of music, skills and instruments on stage must have been one of the best shows ever. Unfortunately back then (the record is from 2013) I didn't know Epica nor Nightwish. Otherwise I would have been there.

One of my all time favorite Nightwish songs is Ever Dream, glad you liked it! You would also like their song The Islander, it's a little different but a very popular song. The Islander (Live At Tampere) is the version you're looking for.

You've probably found out by now Floor is singer #3 in Nightwish. This song is also very nice by singer #1 (Tarja Turunen) The internet is also hiding Epica (hidden in plain sight) Checkout Sancta Terra from their Retrospect concert. They have a special guest singer you might recognise.

No one made it out of that concert alive. It was the single largest massacre in the 21st century! "Ghost River" and "Bless the Child" from the same concert. Also, look into the OG Nightwish, with their original singer Tarja. For that I'd recommend starting with the End of an Era concert from 2005.

No one saw it coming. It's a big difference on festivals and concerts in Europe(+many other countries) compared to certain venues in the States, Unfortunately! Whether you're stage diving, head banging, crowd surfing, stumbling intoxicated etc. people will catch you with care and won't suffocate the hell out of you. "Sad But True" 😶🙈

Yep, you gonna have lots of favorites with this band, I think I stopped counting in the 20s of of my favorites, and even the ones that aren't my favorites, still good. Floor is our Queen and Valkyrie Goddess, and the sweetest person in the world with her fans. I was dumbfounded when I first heard Floor and Nightwish a year and a half ago, still am, and always amazed. Nice reaction.

Bless you for your honesty... it shows. I am 67 years old and enlisted in the Nightwish army a couple months ago. I grew up listening to the "usual" fare offered in the central US airwaves. Whoa...so much has been withheld by those in control. Fed up, I found Sleepthief a few years ago, and rolled thru Poets of the Fall after that. Poets is another band from Finland...which led me to Nightwish...thankfully. Keep up your good work.

Dark Chest of Wonders is the show opener of Wacken 2013. High energy, lots of pyro. Not recommended to watch before bedtime, you won't be able to sleep for at least an hour from that buzz !😁 Great reaction, keep them coming!

Don't worry it's not at all dry and dusty.... I suggest "Night witches" the version where they team up with "yarn hub" and you get a killer video included.... You are one of the very few reactors who noticed that Emppu throws out guitar picks. Having seen Nightwish live on more than a dozen locations in ten cities in six countries on three continents, I can attest to the fact that Emppu tosses picks like crazy. He is also the band member who interacts most with the front rows. Because I have been to seven meet and greats in Canada, the band kind of recognizes me and Emppu many times tried to throw me a pick. Because I am an old guy who is not really interested in this kind of stuff any more I managed to look away just in time. But after the Vancouver show in I think 2018 he came right up to me in the front row and handed me a pick. Just so nice, and with a wicked sense of humor! Liked and subscribed!

New sub here! I like it when you complement the writing and the different layers you hear; that is Tuomas, the keyboardist on what looks like an organ of sorts. He writes 95% of the songs and if he was born 300 years ago, he would have rivaled Beethoven. No bias there. His writing and lyrics are so damned good. Also, most reactors seem to be asleep to one of my favourite bands: Sonata Arctica. The first 2 songs you should check out of them are 'White Pearl, Black Oceans' part 1 and 'White Pearl, Black Oceans' part 2. The lyrics to these songs form a story and it would be well to find a lyrics studio version of them to get the full effect. They're from Finland, the same country as Nightwish! So they have a similar symphonic sound, which you will enjoy.

The whole Nightwish Wacken 2013 concert is worth watching, definitely! And if you’re into the experience so much, I recommend Epica Retrospect Live 2013 - that 3-hour gem is the ultimate symphonic metal live concert experience!

The Poet and the Pendulum is another music journey i recommend from Nightwish. The song was written as an expression of the bands first singer and long time friend leaving the band and they channeled all those feels into something epic.

Once I’m out of my contract I’ll be going into more detail when it comes to writing. I’m walking a very thin mine with my label even having a reaction channel. I try not to say too much but still manage to get in trouble. But we will see what the future holds 🙏

Cliff, I just looked at the list of Nightwish songs that you have reacted to so far, and I noticed that there is a member of the band that you have yet to see. Troy is a multi-instrumentalist and, at the time of the Wacken 2013 concert that you have been checking out, was a relatively recent addition to Nightwish (along with Floor, who is the band's 3rd [and current] lead singer). All of the songs that you have seen so far have been from their earlier albums, written and arranged before he joined the band. For your next reaction, you should have a look-see at what Troy has to offer. I predict that you will be surprised, and in a good way. Floor is an absolute vocal athlete. How the hell is she able to sustain such insane vocal belts, growls, clean, distorted, operatic, etc for this whole concert? If singing was an Olympic event she would have more Gold medals than Michael Phelps.
