@@MarioCrosby 🤣😂🤣lol!! Although it's not "could've been"... the line "I wanna be your back door man" is a double entendre. Zep's catalogue is filled with double entendres (that's how they got away with releasing certain songs😜) Some of the best and most clever lyricism ever in my book!!

There is no replacement for real talent, playing real musical instrument, without the help of digital processing or auto tuning. This music was produced extremely well, especially for its time, the musicians throughout the lineup are absolutely epic, legends for the ages. They were inducted into the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame, when it actually actually meant something not like now

Each of them were primed musicians before they got together. I have read that when they first played together even they were blown away. Regarding the comment about sex. Rap is full of sex! Nasty repulsive for me anyway like Nicki Minaj, for example she sings with a baby voice and rhymes “slide it” you can guess the rest. I grew up during the “women’s movement” so a female exploiting herself is a turn off for me anyway. I do like “ Lil Wayne” too. Hey thanks for listening to this! I love watching young people listening to Led Zeppelin. I do like some rap like everything on the “Chronic” and I like early Eminem and I really love Snoop too but I don’t know enough about rap like you

Two songs to start, "Stairway to Heaven" off of Led Zeppelin IV, and "Since I've Been Loving You" off of Led Zeppelin III. Please react to the studio versions of these songs, NOT the live versions. The live versions were improvisational and unpredictable. The studio versions will give you a better appreciation for the magical genius within the songs, as well as the awesome production skills of perhaps the greatest music producer of all time, Jimmy Page (who is also Led Zeppelin's founder and guitarist). Ok - here it is: Led Zeppelin - When The Levee Breaks. Monster song, at their very heaviest Blues Rock/Hard Rock best. Prepare to be carried away on the onslaught. Not metal , or speed metal, but HARD BLUES ROCK with the best driving beat, soaring harmonica and guitar, thunderous bass that REALY kicks in at the end, even higher level that the first part of the song. Drum licks have been sampled widely in hip hop over the years but THIS is the origin!

The rock back in the day singers had to know how to sing, no auto tune to try to correct a musicians voice like today. I find today that singers can't sing a tune in a bucket without auto tune. We had the real deal growing up. Raw talent. Many played several instruments and wrote there own music. It was a much cooler time for teen agers. We had crowds the size of football fields, 50-60thousand people and didn't have big problems. We were all there ti have a good time, we were busy dancing, singing, rockin, maybe a little smoke and we definitely snuck in alcohol. It was a different America back then and I'm so happy that I was a part of it. Great memories. Day on the Green. Glad you enjoyed!

The stereo music of the 60's and 70's really used production creatively, the positioning of instruments and vocals was as much a part of the arrangement and total experience. In the very early days most released stuff was a mono mix, because the public only had mono radios and TVs, stereo was the preserve of classical and jazz albums, and even considered as very niche and a gimmick that might fade. As the pop and rock eras developed and stereo record players became affordable for most folks, the artists and the studios responded. So much of contemporary music has been so centrally mixed it may as well be mono, you just don't get much of that panoramic widescreen production. Another thing about those early decades is the experimentation and individuality of artists, and the variety within their music, never wanting to repeat any formula and constantly progressing their skills and influences. For bands such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, or The Beatles for example, you need to hear dozens of their tracks to even get a glimpse of the mix of styles they could produce.

Seeing them live from 20 feet away for a 3 hour concert was completely incredible. That was 1969, and we saw Janis Joplin, Hendrix, The Doors, Santana, Quicksilver, Jethro Tull, Linda Ronstadt, and a dozen more classic rock bands live. What a time to be alive!

In Southern culture, the phrase "back-door man" refers to a man having an affair with a married woman, using the back door as an exit before the husband comes home. Dixon's lyrics include: When everybody trying to sleep. I'm somewhere making my midnight creep.

So honestly, does rap give you chills and touch your soul? There really isn't any comparison. Zep was real musicians playing their own instruments with no autotune. I know you didn´t ask me, but honestly yes. I heard rock all my life and I love it, but good hip hop is great in it´s own way. If you only hear crappy autotune rap that´s on you. Hip Hop is it´s own artform and can´t and shouldn´t be compared to a completely different form of music.

It is so funny that so many people know nothing about Led Zeppelin and they were the biggest selling group in the 70's and considered the second most influential band of all time after the Beatles. The broke up in 1980 when the drummer drank 40 shots of Vodka at Jimmy Page's house, threw up and suffocated on his vomit. Now thats a rock star. LOL. They broke all of the Beatles attendance records as well. They are one of the top selling rock bands of all time. Led Zeppelin is the group that forced the record companies to stop taking almost all of the money from the groups and give the groups a much bigger share of the pie. Zeppelin is also the group almost every future group copied their rock style from. From the way they dressed, played and the wild stuff they did while on tour, almost every band tried to copy them in someway. Even some rap music and other genres sample their music for their songs. Especially their drums. Jimmy Page the guitarists was a top 3 player of all time but he was a genius in the studio as he did most of the engineering for Zeppelin's music. Not many Zeppelin songs were in movies or commercials until the late 90's early 2000's. Jimmy Page blocked them from using them. He even wouldn't let Guitar Hero and Rock Band use the songs either. He felt that the kids playing the game should pick up a real guitar instead. But The Immigrant Song was used in Shrek 3, One of the Thor's and The School of Rock. Other songs pop up here and there and Kashmir, was redone over by P Diddy (come with me) for the Godzilla Sound Track with Page cameoing on it. Oh, "That 70's Show" named every episode of I think the 5th season after a Zeppelin song. Another show did the same thing too about 10 years after that. The other show was a end of the world survival type show I think on NBC. It wasn't bad but only ran about two seasons. Dam, forgot the name of it. Whats really weird to me though is that growing up in the 70's, we considered music from the 50's as oldies. And that was only 15- 20 years earlier. But this song is over 50 years old now. And by the way, Iron Maiden was one of those groups influenced by Zeppelin.

LOL! Okay, listen ... Led Zeppelin were heavy into American Blues. Being a 'back door man' means going out of the back door of the house when the woman's husband, boyfriend walked in the front door, usually from working 10 - 12 hours a day to keep the woman in material things. It means being in a relationship and having another man on the side. In their song "Since I've Been Loving You", there is a line where Robert sings, "I open my front door, hear my backdoor slam." I do realize that there is another meaning for that phrase, but that's not how they mean it in their songs. :)

It is historically important for young artists to know that this band is responsible for artists making the money they were due , They had an honest behemoth of a manager named peter grant (very imposing man) and turned the tables on the promoters that used to make all the money and giving crumbs to the acts . People your age are woefully undereducated on the classic rock from the 60's and 70's and videos like this help the younger viewers interested. You have my subscription now, please keep doing these types of reactions. Suggestion would be to start simple with a straight rocker like Rock and Roll (yes, that's the name of the song. Pretty gutsy, huh?) Then try an early bluesy song like When the Levee Breaks. Then hit my favorite, In My Time of Dying.

Led Zeppelin were together and had albums from 1969 to 1980 when their drummer died. They thought is was best to dissolve the band when John Bonham died. They felt no one could replace him. Us fans agree. The only drummer that could is his son Jason. If you ever react to Stairway to Heaven, make sure to also react to Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center Honors. It is sung by the girls from the rock band heart (Ann Wilson - singer and Nancy Wilson - guitar) The guys in the band didn't know John's son Jason is playing the drums on this performance. Jason and the choir are wearing Bowler hats because that was John's trademark hat. When the camera zooms in on Jason toward the end and looks up, he's looking at his father John in Heaven.

I was born in 1963 and Led Zeppelin was so popular when I was in High School. They are still touring. Love Robert Plant's voice!!! All of the musicians in that band are top notch!

“Back door man” means a wife’s lover! Yes you should check out more rock music. I would highly recommend you listen to Led Zeppelin’s first album and check out the blues mixed in with that rude guitar Page lays. Prince also did a version of this song and it’s great! Thank you!
