Woolie’s past is mostly a series of strange men either giving or taking things away from him

Okay I was not expecting that turn into the stranger story and I have not squeal-laughed out loud to myself like that in FOREVER. I really needed this today.

He could've just said "one of my mom's friends / aquaintences from church"

No, Woolie is physically incapable of referring to people by normal terms. See also: Cutlassman, Mental Illness Woman.

I had a church friend who came by and constantly wanted to play MK Deception. I've never beaten him. He doesn't have those devilish video games in his house either.

Dude one of my friends cousin was over at his place when I came over and we started to play some blaze blue and the cousin just went "um this seem like yall shouldn't be playing this because it isnt about god" was super fucking awkward

I can relate to Woolie. My mom had a lot of friends from church who’d just give us video games cause they either had children who played games but they didn’t want them playing those games or whatever or they just didn’t know any better. One guy was super shill and he gave my brother and I a shit ton of fighting games: Tekken 4, MK Shaolin Monks, The Warriors and all of the freaking Blood Roar games. We had so many fucking games just cause my mom’s friends from church would just give them away. It was great.

That’s a good mom. She sold her body just to get a copy of mk4

It's cool that Ed Boon packed in a stranger to keep his Mum occupied to the MK4 boxes. So many bible passages in the bedroom to read through.

I first saw MK4 on the arcade and it was awesome. No strange jesus guys living in my house for ten years, no Bufallo Bills trying to kill my family, nothing

A year late but a shadyish guy hanging in front of the GameStop offered me a backpack full of Xbox 360 games for $20 but my mom refused to let me buy it. He showed me the discs and everything
