Nirav is such a humble and compassionate shark, he should be there full time! Never seen this type of a deal 😅 Btw, As of August, 2023, the products can be found in Nordstrom, Credo and Sephora stores. Annual revenue at this time is $1.3 million.

Gee, I wonder why they showed her from the side so much during her pitch? 🤔 Anyway… I LOVE how she reminded them of her original offer-$250,000 for 10%-at 4:55, even though one of the sharks yelled “You raised it again!!” as if she had never made that offer in the first place. 🤷🏽‍♂️🙄 Congratulations to her for making the deal after standing her ground as much as she could, knowing coming in that she would have to negotiate that equity upward... 😉

This felt odd. I feel they were very excited to back, support, and give love to a black woman. It was a fantastic presentation? If you have watched shark tank for a long time you know that is not true. Why can't people support back people in a genuine way.

Although it may not be an entirely specific line of products, it’s still at least indirectly being targeted to about 7% of the US population. Don’t think anyone really took that into consideration. But of course after shark tank, and it being essentially an affirmative action company, of course it’ll look like it’s decent for a while. And before anyone cries about that, the company was taken under the wing of Sephora solely because of her race. Look it up. And for being available in those kinds of stores, AND online which is still the primary source of selling for a lot of lines, a $1.3 revenue is nothing. I get it she just got started, but for reference, Neutrogena did $4 billion in 2020, a year when hardly any retail shopping was done.

Not hating here, but there's got to be at least 10 episodes per season where Blackness is celebrated. This just goes to show how condescending the producers of the show are. We treat people special because we believe those people are inferior.

Seems like that's her schtick personally. She emphasised her African name and talked about the "secrets" her family shared etc but she's an American born and raised. She's trying to make everyone think she grew up in a village.

Dear God....they want to help promote black entrepreneurship? What jerks. They don't think they are inferior. They are ensuring that not everyone who is pitching is just white people, who statistically speaking have generational backgrounds that present higher odds of being able to start their own business. I will say that I wish there was more effort on doing this for indigenous entrepreneurs, because we want more kids to see that others like them can & do make their passions come to life.

Why would you of all people complain about an immigrant or child if immigrants use her background story as a selling point? You are hating because these are no different from men marketing their products to male customers, women doing the same. People use their own children to get a deal and you see a 100s of them using their children"oh oh I'm a parent". But it's to be expected.

If you weren't so caught up in your biases, you'd have even heard her say how her Parents raised her to know about her Nigerian heritage. Very typical from you people, I'm glad the sharks don't mind making money with people who know their products and the market well enough.
