It’s pretty wild how Sony can release Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and then eight months later, release Madame Web. Because Sony Pictures is an absolute mess, it makes me wonder how the Spider-Verse films are as fantastic as they are.

Should've just had Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney playing chess against each other in silence while wearing their costumes and that would've been a more enjoyable experience.

Just gonna put a spoiler warning just in case anybody actually cares to see it My favorite part of the movie is how this movie heavily implies that Madame Web has looked into the future to see Uncle Ben, who was her closest friend, get shot and killed and has decided she's not going to do anything about it

This film had over 3x the budget of Everything, Everywhere, All At Once! 😄

When you mentioned how sometimes movies turn out bad even though there was passion and an honest intent to make something good. It really reminds me of Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, where I think it fails spectacularly in the action scenes, but is actually pretty well done in the non-action scenes and the overall story is good. The problem is that its runtime is mostly bad action scenes. I know this is off topic, but I'd rather just talk about the original Superman movies. 😄

As it relates to Ezekiel Sims and his dialogue, there is a lot of chatter than the original motivation was that he was going to kill Mary Parker before Peter was born and the filmed dialogue related to that, so when they switched it up, they had to ADR the shit out of it.

Morbius is way better than this, at least It made me laugh and enjoy itz enjoyable action scenes and effects, unlike Madame Web, this is horrible.

Just got done watching Madame Web via CAM Version & this is the worst Superhero & Comic Book Movie that I've ever seen in my life. I feel terrible for a lot of the actors involved, because none of them deserve to have this movie in their filmography. Sony Pictures should be ashamed of themselves for making this movie & at this point Kevin Fiege & Marvel Studios need to take the Spider-Man rights away from Sony, because they clearly can't handle having Spider-Man or any Superhero at all.

Two of the writers of this film (Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless) are the same that wrote Morbius. These two better improve their work further down the road because based on this review (especially those god awful lines), these two feel like they have no passion in what they write.

I always enjoy a video of you hating a new movie that deserves it lol. Sony doesn’t know how to handle the Spider-Man property cause the spiderverse movies are fantastic but their live action attempts with morbius and now madame web have been that’s awful. I have fun with the venom movies tho but I’m sure kraven will be another stinker.

Getting atrocious movies is a bittersweet experience these days. I hate that we're getting absolute garbage and that it wastes my time as someone who watches a TON of films, but at the same time, these rant videos are pure GOLD. I rewatch the Jeeper's Creepers Reborn rant every other month, and now this one has provided one of the funniest "skits" with the villain reenactment. I guess in some twisted way, we need the abysmal trash to fully appreciate the truly great movies lol. Awesome video, Cody!

I will say that the character I had the most emotional connection with the the Dude on the train...was he on the right train? Was it the train to Mt Vernon? These are things I want to know.. I've been in that situation

This is one of my favorite videos you’ve done in terms of editing and review wise. Another note it’s clear that Sony can’t use the name of the characters like Peter and all that. They are just doing anything to have the rights to the Spiderman name. Like it will never be its own thing until they’re able to fully say Spiderman. Let the license go to Disney and just fully embrace the venom character. Venom is a household name as well and the fact they aren’t using him more is just laughable

If I were to rewrite this movie, I'd have the first act remain the same except its set in the present and doesn't involve Ben Parker. The first half hour or so pretty much stays the same, except we never see Ezekiel or his backstory. Cassie gets premonitions of the future, leading her to go to the diner to seek answers, and stop three girls from dying by a masked assailant. Cassie first meet the girls at the diner and saves them from Spider-Zeke there. She and the girls then immediately go to the police for help and protection, only to have Spider-Zeke attack them there and realize not even the police can stop him. Then Cassie would get a vision telling her to go home and loo at her mother's book, and she and the girls go there and Cassie is able to figure out previously vague information to find out that Spider-Zeke is the same guy who was with her mother when she died, Ezekiel Sims, and finds out who Santiago is from the book, as well. Cassie then tracks down Santiago online and contacts him so he can fill in the blanks about the spiders and their abilities, leading Cassie to have a vision telling her she needs to break into Ezekiel's home with the girls to find the spiders, leading to the three girls getting powers from the three spiders he's bred in his home. That's then their superhero origin story right there. Spider-Zeke then finds them and the same fight from his dream happens, but without the suits and tech. Although he's more skilled than them, Cassie has her future sight abilities fully manifest to help the girls overcome the experience gap and tell them exactly how to avoid danger, but Spider-Zeke figures out how Cassie is helping them and gets the upper hand on the girls briefly in order to head over to Cassie and injure her badly, leading to her becoming blinded and paralyzed by him. However, the girls finally get the upper hand on him, leading to Spider-Zeke being kicked out a window, finally putting a stop to him, once and for all. With the help from Ezekiel's assistant, Cassie and the girls basically take over his wealth and assets and the same final scene from the actual movie can play out the same way, but with a proper explanation. Studio gets their "girl power" movie and can set up the same potential universe of three Spider-Womans they intended to. Mid or post-credit scene would show Andrew Garfield Spider-Man, in suit but maskless, being introduced to Madame Web after she invites him to her home, and she asks him to train her three girls and shows him designs for their Spider-Woman suits that she found from Ezekiel's sketches. Now it's potentially set in the Amazing Spider-Man universe.

you should clip your impersonation of the madame web villain into its own short cause that was pretty good.

It makes sense to have the Venom films without Spider-Man because he's become a character with his own world at this point. But the Morbius film has ensured Morbius will never be taken seriously again and there's no way the Kraven film will top Insomniac Spider-Man 2 Kraven. And the extent of Madame Web's character in the comics is "blind psychic old woman who sometimes helps Spider-Man" so I don't get why Sony wanted a film about her.
