You commented about the length of time a grenade takes to detonate, we have support gems for that. This is a lvl 15-20 character.

I'm sorry to be a negative Nancy, but what's the point of this reaction videos when Cohh is not fully paying attention half of the time. Yes, his brand is chat interaction, but here, it looks like he is also texting and answering messages and running a business at the same time. Idk maybe it's just me but that defeats the point of a react video. Should have stayed on the stream.

Path of Exile 1/2 : I honestly like the game, but the store in PoE1 felt odd or creepy to me. The prices mostly, but also buying extra inventory tabs, etc. I will be happy if they can a) make the store for PoE2 a bit more grounded so-to-speak (buying one single armor visual for 20 USD is not what I consider a reasonable price), b) offer a bit more free visual customizations (I was playing a Templar and never could get pants), and c) a simpler in-game currency system (I know it is totally unrelated to the store, which was a good thing).

The “No pants” Templar is a meme by this time in PoE. The best bang for your buck is the supporter packs that give you a full armor set. They also have sales on stash tabs quite often. The currency tab is probably one of the ones that I say is just have.

@@Baraz_Red I'm also hoping they can maybe create a better foundation for monetization. Like just more efficient framework to create micro transactions so the pricing can be more familiar and akin to league of legends or so, where a complete visual skin is more like 13 bucks, but it only affects a single character. I don't really "need" the micros in poe to work on every single character. And if so, you could maybe unlock it cheaper when buying one version, and then you can unlock the other versions for other classes or so. But some micros just look bad on some classes, and you're still paying for that

Templar has pants in PoE2 by default. But also you get free MTX every league for doing the challenges, the last 4 leagues have given full armor sets.

Also remember any micro transaction you bought in PoE 1 (stash tabs etc) is transferring to PoE 2

Now correct me if I'm wrong since I haven't kept up with everything POE2 since I kind of lost my hype on the Reval trailer at exilecon, but from what the skills look like they are locked behind the classes ("so no fireball throwing Berserker type stuff anymore")? It all just kind of looks basic to me like they go from unique and complex systems to Mainstream good-looking mush. Imma see if I get surprised with the beta, but if not its a good thing poe is gonna stick around.

The classes aren't limited, just that the tree and ascendancies will have stuff correlating with what they're showing the class can do, like how in PoE 1 the Shadow has traps/mines, the Witch has minions, the Templar has totems, etc... Doesn't mean you can't play fireball on maurader if you want, just that witch has more tools for it from the get go. It'll be the same in PoE 2. :)

I think certain skills might be class-specific but like POE, once you find the gem dealer, builds are limitless. That's what I love about it right now. Diablo 3/4 has nothing on the build diversity here. I can make builds that are fun and interesting even though they might not be viable for endgame. It's just that fun.

"skills look like they are locked behind the classes" Forgive me for being blunt but how in the hell did you get that impression from only seeing the reveal trailer? The reveal trailer just looked like they took poe 1 and upgraded the graphics. Additionally literally every gameplay reveal since then has mentioned you can still mix and match, the universal passive tree is still there, and that they've increased the complexity of the gameplay.

- I'm a 9am to 5pm business professional with family, and I WILL NOT PLAY Path of Exile again UNTIL POE 2. - The game requires research, consideration and deep understanding, and I don't have the time for that kind of effort. - I have real world obligations, and, if GGG wants POE 2 to work, it must make the game user friendly and more accessible. -

Yeah but this is just one out of hundreds of unique bosses. And they’ve shown a few bosses already with unique mechanics.

I dont think this is going to be a good class for an arpg. you are running mostly backwards with this class, have random timers (grenades) in your dps and 20 different tools and quirks to switch between to kill a group of enemys with white and yellow mobs in it... "put up a safezone before engaging a new group of enemys" < this doesnt sound like an arpg style to me.

You also have to remember this is a demo of new mechanics. Even in poe1 things shown are drastically slowed down. In practice you probably only grenade combo thick rares and bosses or if there is some cd sniper build where you always have grenades up and you grenade fire short into packs.

yeah im not to sure either gun play is like a whole new way to play and duno if its gonna work to some playstyles. but looks great for those who like the style and willing to give it a go.

While I certainly like how POE2 looks its all moot unless the new player experience is improved. Not interested in 200 hours and a college course just to understand how the mechanics work.

i think the main problem is that people want to understand ALL mechanics within one week, because thats what they're used to from d3 and d4. but in fact its totally fine to only learn one or two endgame mechanics and just play them for that league. in your second league you can dive into other mechanics and min max them if you want. i just cannot and will never understand how people can see a high amount of content as a negative. the game just never gets boring, because there is always something new to learn and focus on. just do it at your own pace step by step.

@@pilot7350 It wouldn't be an issue if it didn't take so much time. Grim Dawn and Titan Quest have a decent amount of depth and you can learn as you go. You're also the first person I've seen recommend just to play it in other places for Path nobody recommends this, it's always follow a build guide your first time or couple times through. Personally that's a turn off.

My personal opinion; PoE2 introducing WASD movement killed all my hype for PoE2. My reason for that is; they say its optional, but in every other Arpg with this option it is really not an option when it offers more utility on a base level. and the reason that I personally dislike this, is because it adds a more active playstyle as a BASE in the game. WASD movement is literally changing the game. regarding the new PoE1 league; im excited to see how broken builds can get with a "secondary" ascendacy tree, and I cant wait to sink 50+ hours into it.

WASD is like adding controller support (wich PoE 1 already has), they just make the controller mode playable with keyboard (WASD) to me this enhance the game, it allows people to play as they wish, and that's what makes PoE great, you make your own experience with the tools they provide to you

So the game started as a clone of D2. And then they found massive success after years of doing their own thing and finding their own vibe. And now they're just going to pivot back and clone D3 and D4 again.
