I did the same. Loved it. Tomatoes, squash, arugula, swiss chard, lettuce and zuchinni. Amazing how much you can grow, in a small space too.

I am in Washington State and I am also growing an Avocado and a Lemon Tree. I'm not sure if it's going to produce Fruit but it was phenomenal going through the process. We have that knowledge no one can take from us. Peace & Blessings.

How long to produce fruit? Did u start from seed?
@dawnendiaye657
@dawnendiaye657 2 жыл бұрын
@@khloe38 I started with a seed. I started it in water and when it grew about 12 inches I put it in soil. I made sure that the pot was deep. The tree is over 6ft now. I repotted it in a huge trash bin. Honestly I believe this tree was destined to be with or without me because I know nothing about plants LOL

@@dawnendiaye657 that's cool. I'm assuming u used seed from an avocado you had eaten? I think I'm going to start saving seed from fruits I get from the grocery. I hear of several people that say they are growing a lemon tree in their living room (in a pot of course). 🍋

I realized during the Pandemic when grocery stores started running out of stuff or having to stand in long lines that I should grow my own food. Trying to grow sweet potatoes from slips in containers. So far so good.

This is great! I didn’t know about the farm on 35th. I went to CHSAS. So many of my classmates entered the fields of agriculture and food science as a result of going to the “farm school” in Chicago. We had an organic farm stand that they still have. CHSAS + living in my current city are the reasons I fell in love with nature.

Thank you for this episode. It's kool that you are promoting healthy living and going back to the land that God created and the gift of producing food and freedom for ourselves. I too have been concerned about where our food comes from and what the creepy corporates are putting in it and on it. I now live in a tiny townhouse in the DMV (I'm originally from the Midwest), and I started growing vegetables on my little deck. I was shocked at how easy it was and the amazing flavor of my vegetables. I'm not a veg or veeg, but found two local farmers who do grass-fed organic meats and milk - it's so much better and doesn't make me feel heavy after I eat. I'm with you on the breath and energy improvement.

Being vegan is great but I wish I could give up chicken. I’m in NY so planting is seasonal. I never planted but my Dad does. This is something we all should do though. DWLOL at not cooking I hope by the last episode you will be cooking. I use garlic a lot. It has lots of medicinal value too especially for colds etc. So much valuable information. Thank you Gangsta Gardener and Sir Common. Love you even more for this. Be Blessed always 👑💓🙏🏾

My daughter’s daycare person had the kids plant, grow and eat veggies. When her pediatrician asked what her favorite vegetable was she said, “radishes and cucumbers.” It was apparent to me he expected carrots and corn. We garden too, but I was into flowers at that time and trees. Now, I wonder what took me so long to grow veggies.

Hi Common, I just edited to say The Laws family loves you, we watch Hell Wheels, continues. Regarding the garden, however we help our neighbors do the same! Sometimes in the city you have that area that will not do SOD. We create a silver, dug down trash can with covers slant or to the side! We planted potatoes, can you say French fries outside, kids playing snack!! We are the ......Laws Family
