The sugar mill at Comal closed long ago but cane continued to be grown and collected on its estate and it was then transferred overnight to the large mill at Sragi. A number of locomotives were based there for this operation.
The empty loris were then returned next morning and by the time they arrived in the fields it was usually too late to capture the loaded trains in daylight. Of course, on rare occasions things did not go to plan and this video show Orenstein and Koppel 0-8-0T #20 on such a train in 1998.
It was too late to take a slide, hence the thumbnail shows sister locomotive #21 making up a train in the same area on another occasion.

Bekas jalur pg comal masih ada. Dan Jalur lori crossing dengan jalur PJKA sudah berubah.

Untuk ukuran satu lokomotif dengan penggerak 0-8-0 OT sangat luar biasa mampu menarik lebih dari 25 rangkaian lori,,. Sejak kecil saya blm pernah melihat keluarga 0-8-0 OT Gondang baru yg menarik lebih dari 20-25 lori,.

Gondang always ran short trains, it was unusual in this respect. The 0-8-0T at Olean could also pull 25-30 loris.

Wow that is really long hauling . While here at kebonagung , even the larger 100pk henschel were rarely seen hauling more than 20. 11-16 were common sights of kebonagung's field work.

To be fair, although it may not have been obvious from the video, the Kebonagung area is anything but completely flat. If you look at the video of 'Lutter' 7 starting off from Buring north east of the mill and almost at the city boundary, it was rolling for the first kilometre and was braking to stop the train running away. Then when it turned right it climbed hard through the street at Bumiayu. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oZmAfteoy52ddmw.html The Comal estate is almost flat and this train is running north and heading towards the sea and it might have been slightly downhill.

@@internationalsteam precisely observed sir . However , the longest train i have ever seen was #6 coming in from emplasemen accross the mill with 21 trains behind . And #6 was roaring heavily .
