Ketanggungan Barat was the site of a long abandoned former sugar mill but the estate around it was still cultivated and there was a locoshed here for the steam locomotives that worked the cane trains. Every day as cane trains arrived the loris were forwarded on the somewhat inaccessible connecting line to Tersana Baru, changing power at Luwung Gajah some way short of their final destination.
The empty loris would then return, usually in the morning, these trains being naturally longer - the excess locomotives could then go ahead 'light engine'.
This video shows mainly Maffei 0-8-0T 6 and 7 although the first locomotive over the big bridge is actually Ducroo and Brauns 0-4-4-0T Mallet 5
