As somebody who does a lot of 4WD off roading and have been stuck and pulled a lot of people out I just want to say how much I appreciate Grant and Laura using synthetic ropes and straps on these recovery operations. The synthetics are better at absorbing shocks and are much safer if something goes wrong or breaks. Cables and chains can be really dangerous if they break so good job!

A good friend of mine lost a freind of his to the improper use of a 3/4" D-shackle. They were using it to link 2 recovery straps together and it turned sideways between runs. Went right through the truck tailgate and the cab. I'm glad to see the use of a synthetic shackle for this. It's absolutely mind blowing when you realize the amount of kinetic energy being transferred during a recovery.

There is no better feeling than being able to help someone in trouble. I am a Volunteer Trail Maintainer on a National Hiking Trail and go out every two weeks to remove fallen trees and such and occasionally tend to a Injured Backpacker, usually with Foot and Knee problems and get them to a Medical Facility. Last year I helped one a month mostly due to those highly expensive psuedo trail sneakers... So keep up the good work...

I'm not a farmer but I love watching farming videos. I'm a retired software developer that worked in the health industry. If it wasn't for farmers then all of the gadgets like cell phones, TVs, computers and even going to the moon would not be possible. The rest of us would have to go out every day and forage for food, no time to invent gadgets to play with. You guys look like you are really enjoying farming and I love it when Laura goes nuts over farm equipment. Thank You for being a Farmer and feeding the rest of us, I know it's hard work and long hours.

Laura and Grant - thanks so much for your involvement as a volunteer for Farm Rescue with Mike's harvest and especially the awareness you have created for Farm Rescue. As a fellow volunteer, we are always looking for additional farm families in crisis that we can step in and plant, harvest or bale their crop, while they focus on recovering from their health or disaster situation. Farm Rescue is proud to report that 97% of the 1,000+ farm families we have helped are still farming 3 years later. Thank you for this great video and your ongoing support of Farm Rescue!

I've always been impressed how farmers are a real community when it comes to helping each other out. You many be too young to remember it, but there was a "hay lift" all across the country to supply farmers in I think the mid west with hay to feed their animals. That was the first time I experienced what farmers are like for each other. Impressive.

Love your show and love harvest . Spent a lot of harvests helping my uncles and cousins at the farm in Warspite Alberta Canada . My grandfather was born in Holding ford Minnesota . I miss it now living in Victoria BC Canada so watching farm shows brings back the joy and of course some of the mistakes us weekend city slicker farmers made . Remember spending two days shovling grain into the auger after missing the bin ,, 1 Chevy truckload . Enjoy the harvest and all the best .

What a cool charity organisation. I was wondering how a farm would recover from such a thing. I know neighbours could pitch in, but they're also presumably under their own time pressure to clear their own farms in time. Organisations like this are a life saver for recovery. Losing your crops on top of equipment would be unfathomable.
