I enjoy watching these videos. As a retired Infantry section commander with 7 foreign tours you learn a fair bit about troops and there habits. If a soldier can't handle tough staff, then they can't handle a tough enemy. As an instructor I can only express how badly you want to learn that your young prodigy's have done well and succeeded. Your worst fear is turning on the nightly news only to hear of one of your previous troops being spoken of in a sad forum. dedicated instructors actually care very much about there recruits and want only for them to many years later share a beer and catch up. My instructors in the RCR (Royal Canadian Regiment) Battle school in 1988 were bastards, Fit, smart, mean, tough and unsympathetic. it's only years later that you serve in hostile lands beside them that you realize they prepared you for harder times. Great job to the instructor and best wishes to all troops that make the grade.

Very good Episode s one has to wonder though helping Afghans against the Taliban and years later it's all back in the Talibans hands in current times..all the resources well trained for and provided ..meticulously applied all gone to the drain. Who planes the deployment of troops and what strategic plans in the long term do they apply ?imagine being a Royal Marine ..working g so hard and watching telly years later to realize the Taliban are back in control?😢

i know all of these soldiers are brave... but i wonder if, over all of history, has there ever been an extremely good super soldier type (such as Jason Bourne)? is there anyone who is just so uncannily gifted that they can outdo large teams of opponents with their wits, ability, and superior training?

Why isn't their training as hard as it is here in Australia? Didn't we get our training regiment from the UK? Because that training would be a holiday compared to what we have do to. I realize it's only a small part we get to see, but none of it is anything like Basic Training for grunts here. Our trainers are usually SAS. So we trained at the level they expect. It's just so different to how I thought it would be.

you're making the trainee lose selfconfidence instead of encouraging them, you were once a trainee you know whats its like. Most of the men in uniform are good but there will always be rotten one " the bullies" and they are the real losers
