Hey there buddy! We watched the vid when it came out as always, an as always I’m late on my comments 🤪😜. Really enjoyed the vid! Nicely done busting all those rounds with the ram splitter, ya I can see how in your woodyard setup where that works pretty well.. gettin them down to a good manageable and liftable size to go on the super splitter! As always, thanks again for having us over! I really appreciate stopping by and visiting the channel for the new vids! 🔥💯👍🤜🤛. Keep up the great work! Take good care! Andrew from NB :)

That splitter really saves your back. You don't have to pull or push around a lot of big logs and that is great. And I am so glad to see your son on your video again. Good to see he is feeling much better. Y'all hang in there and keep up the good work. See you on the next video.

Cruze does it all! I agree with ripping them first, also helps you see if there’s a nasty knot or somthing you gotta look out for. I’ve got my tractor splitter stuck a few times and it’s a pain to they the wood off😂. Keep the good videos coming!

😂😂. He’ll like that comment!! Agreed!! It does suck getting the wedge unstuck. I actually hit a nail ripping these rounds in half. Appreciate your support Genin!!

Nice work! For the fellas that deal with tree service wood, I’m kinda surprised there isn’t more folks who use an inverted splitter on their tractor for the big stuff.
@TwinCityFirewood3 ай бұрын
Thanks! I agree. Tree service wood is mostly all I get. It sure is nice to have a tractor and the inverted splitter to deal with the big stuff. Appreciate your time and comment!!

Jacob, you’re a good daddy to your children. By the way, you know I got the WolfRidge version for my tractor. I used it last week to pick big rounds up out of the pile and stage them. I’m going to then pick them up and split them into my dump trailer. I’ll then leave the gate closed, tilt the trailer, and then split them off of it (like Phil does at times on Allen Family Firewood). That saves my back when I go to split them; as they’re elevated off the ground. I know that you are a young pup that may consider yourself a stud muffin, but son those rounds will add up and you’ll have an achy-breaky back when your nigh 50. Trust ole Mark, he knows lol
@TwinCityFirewood3 ай бұрын
I really appreciate the kind compliment Mr. Mark!! Yessir, I remember you saying you were gonna get that and a super splitter. I like that idea when fooling with big rounds,, I may have to try that. I sure ain’t no stud muffin, 😂😂 but I do like doings things easier anytime!! Thanks for the advice!! And I do trust your wise words. No kidding!! Thanks again. 🤝👍🏻

@@TwinCityFirewoodJacob, just so you know, my splitter doesn’t appear to split any faster than yours. The difference is in the return stroke, only. I use the 4 way typically for rounds 20” and less. All larger, all double-hearts, and all crotch pieces I use the single wedge. To be honest, I prefer the single wedge. I’ve found a few pieces my 4-way balked at - but eventually went through - they were all huge hickory rounds. That single wedge hasn’t even shown down though. I’m sure it will though lol. If this was on a skid steer, one that especially had high-flow, I wouldn’t know how to act…then again, I don’t know how to act anyway lol
@TwinCityFirewood3 ай бұрын
😂😂Gotcha. Appreciate the information. I’d like to have a 4 way but just don’t know if my tractor hydraulics have the juice to push it. What tractor are you using with your splitter Mr. Mark?

Looks like it works well. I have two box store splitters that don't owe me anything and might turn one into a skid steer splitter. Can't decide which would be better, push block on the cylinder or wedge on the cylinder. I have one of each.
@TwinCityFirewood3 ай бұрын
It works great for big stuff. I’ve never ran one with the push block on the cylinder. Either way would be handy for you since you have one sitting around. Many thanks for your time and comment!! 👊🏻🔥🪵
@NeighborlyHomestead3 ай бұрын
I find it's easier to have the wedge on the cylinder for the inverted splitters. That way if you can't pick the round up off the ground, it doesn't need to be pushed across the ground in the dirt.
@hayesrutherford94153 ай бұрын
Thanks, that settles it for me.@@NeighborlyHomestead

Shopping tractors, and considering the inverted splitter. The splitter seems to require 8gpm hrdraulic feed at the third function, but the tractors I have shopped only have 4.8gpm. What is the gpm of the third function you are running the inverted splitter on?
@TwinCityFirewoodАй бұрын
I don’t know the gpm @ the third function but the total flow is 11.7 gpm. I hope that helps. The kioti and new holland have the higher gpm ratings in that class of compact tractors. Appreciate you watching and commenting!!
