If you're looking to travel from the UK to the USA the chances are you will need to complete an ESTA. ESTA stands for the "Electronic System for Travel Authorization" and is a visa waiver that allows folks from certain qualifying countries to travel to the USA without the need for a full travel visa. In this video I'm going to give you all the information you need to fill out the ESTA form and hopefully get you the ESTA filled out successfully and on your way to the USA!

Just applied for my ESTA and it was approved in 1 hour! so fast! I am just concerned that they didn't even ask what city I am travelling to.

did you also pay more than 21$ ? there are many sites supposedly giving services '' helping '' you with an ESTA and present themselves like an ESTA site.. and probably they do it for with the data you gave them and probably put UNKOWN to the adresses . Happened to me too . got aproved but paid 98$

One think I would mention is a esta doesn't guarantee your entry in the USA just permission to travel there its ultimately up to the border agent at USA Airport. I don't think this was mentioned on the video 😊

Quite right @michaellomax the ESTA grants permission to travel to the USA NOT to enter the USA. That (as you rightly point out) is up to the Boarder Protection Agent. Thanks for watching.

@@danae9164 do not get a visa. Visas are typically harder to get. Also, only US citizens and LPRs (Green Card holders) have guaranteed entry to the US. Everybody else on Esta, visa free travel, on immigrant or non immigrant visa are never guaranteed entry to the US. Most people are admitted though. In addition, once you apply for visa, you unlikely ever going to get Esta approved. Just keep travelling on Esta. Don't come too often and / or too long, leave on time, abide the laws and don't work without authorization. You'll be fine with solid travel plans.

Thanks for sharing this I’ve gotten visa denied before when I applied with Argentinian passport. Now I have an Italian passport. I want to apply for the esta, Should I select Yes in the options you showed for elegibility (have you ever gotten visa denied w current or previous passp )? I’m afraid that choice will turn out in denial again … :/

Hi @gideonb93, once you have your ESTA approved it can be used for multiple trips for up to 2 years from the date it is issued or until your passport expires, whatever comes first. Hope this helps and thanks for watching

@@FloridaTipsForBrits What if I am in the US and its about to expire the 90 days and lets say I will need another 90 days. DO I need to leave the country and then come back? I know under ESTA programe you are aloued to travel to the US twice a year, so 90 days tecnically, right?

Hi @israbutt2566, thanks for watching.You can apply using the group application option on the website but you will still have to complete individual ESTAs. Basically when you create a group it allows you to pay for multiple applications at one time, that’s pretty much the only difference between the “group” and “individual” options. Hope this helps.

Hi @hazelb7218 you can enter “unknown” when you get to the section about where you are staying and you’ll be fine.

Hi @MrCraigcur, you won’t get a certificate or anything, all that will happen is your application status will change from “pending” to “authorised” (hopefully 😊) on the website. It is recommended that once your stair is is updated, you should print that screen for your records, although I have never had to show it to anyone. Hope this helps and thank you for watching!
