correct answer: yes. a detail I presume is still valid: if the grounding electrode conductor is routed through metallic conduit, it should be bonded to each end of the conduit, because on a high energy fault, the EMF from the fault can interact with the conduit and cause damage to the grounding electrode conductor, if it is not bonded at both ends. where I am, that disconnect and panel would be connected with schedule 40 or 80 PVC, so no bonding bushings needed.

Yes, that is true. And yes, I'll be using PVC for the GEC. Much easier and less expensive.

@@SparkyChannel Been in the biz for a little over 40 years, primarily industrial & commercial, with lots of system control/PLC work and big motor-control centers. Retired in '20, but still doing lots & LOTS of side work! Seems it's hard to find "good" electricians these days... none like to do good, clean, quality work anymore - they just slap it together and hope for the best.🫤

I wish they would get rid of knockouts in majority of equipment. I'd rather drill my own all day long

So to be clear. From the ground bushing lug...does it go straight to the panel or ground the disconnect first then the panel ?
