This is primarily a comparison between the Sigma and the Voigtlander lenses with the camera comparison secondary.

Fun photo-shoot! For low light all open definitely Sony. Eye AF has changed the way I shoot - no need to do "focus and recompose" dance of yesteryear. Leica M for me is best during day stopped down for zone focusing. Can't beat it as a walk about camera as it is fraction of my AF rig and so much more inconspicuous.

could be that your rangefinder is a little bit off. i definitely like the m10 skin tones and overall color. The ideal 75 for the M would be a Leica lens, of course :)

I think the lack of sharpness is just missed focus which is a limitation of the rangefinder

Is the Sony A7RV better than Leica M11?

Do you think if you had the leica visoflex 2 you would have nailed the focus better with the Voigtlander lens?

Thanks for this series Darren. It's been very very interesting. So the image stabilisation in the Sony played a roll in achieving that extraordinary clarity? It is seriously impressive. I occasionally photograph architecture reference, detail information (further processes in drawing and painting) .. A different ball game from yours, I will even use the Schneider 28mm PC Angulon employing shift, and with the leveling guide activated, if I haven't had too much coffee 😊 , get away with shutter speeds that usually require a tripod. On planned shoots, this is mostly 4x5 work for me, but with the A7rii in the kit, .. hey .. 👌

Although the Techart M to E-mount adapter is a rather dumb design, it allows one to use M-mount lenses on E-mount cameras with autofocus

If I was a pro, doing multiple shoots a day in different environments and needed to nail it every single time, I'd go Sony. Less joy but higher chance of perfection. For enjoyment of the art, Leica for me. In reality I'm an amature and one who doesn't invest every single penny into my hobby. I want something nice to use and look at which great results and opted for fujifilm 8 years ago and have stuck with it.

I suppose you are comparing pineapple to oranges, 5-year-old 24Mp to 2-year-old 47Mp. , A vintage look of 75mm ( that is supposed to have glow wide open ) to a modern sigma 85mm. If you have used the modern 75 Noctilux from Leica your result would have looked different, I assume you are just new to Leica and that there is a learning curve on how to use it, like any other system. M focusing can be challenging, especially in some light situations, but I often use the Noctilux at 0.95 and enjoy the look. Not saying it is for everyone, but many photographers have been enjoying the M for many years. It just needs a few times of practice to focus correctly. I like to disagree that you need a tripod, actually, they are so portable that close to no one uses them with this camera. I think your next test should be the latest a7R5 and the SL2 with native lenses, you would be surprised by the results. I have used the sony a7r4 for years and a few days the A7R5, excellent cameras, but if I want to enjoy what I do the Leica SL2 take you to the result with joy.

Leicas are superbly crafted photographic tools. Their M series bodies , and current higher end digital bodies, and their superbly hand crafted and hand made lenses, in Solms, Germany, need to be held for the concept "pride of ownership" to be understood. Hand crafted photography jewels, at gold, if not diamond price levels, as most people are aware. Moving from a far more mechanically based M6-?M9 film based body, I am not sure where Leica obtained the electronic R and D knowledge to create the current top of the line digital bodies. Doubtless, this has been explained in reviews I have avoided reading. Perhaps Panasonic has provided the necessary technical support necessary to make digital rangefinder cameras which are far more electronically driven than, well, basically all cameras from the M3, to the Leica digitals running on a far more electronically based system Perhaps, other readers are able to fill out this gap in my knowledge. The Sony, high end cameras, do far more for the photographer and, if I had the funds, in this comparison, would be my choice, though in reality, I would choose a Canon R mirrorless system. The Leica is rather like a Rolex watch, it feels superb and has a very steep entry price. My modestly priced car's digital clock keeps time just about as well as a Rolex, however as most people know, the purchase of a Rolex and the conspicuous wearing of one has little to do with knowing the exact time.

Get a sony, with both voigtlander and sigma glass, and have the best of both worlds.

Voitlander isnt nothing comapred to leica lens

Leica needs to replace the obsolete viewfinder in the M with a modern EVF to accurately frame and focus, especially with F/1.4 lenses.
