Wish i'd seen this before I did my concrete slab... It's got humps and bumps everywhere with a liquid screed I used. Looking at it - it was far far thicker than this though so i'm not surprised.

Hello! The most tricky part is to get the center area(s) of the workspace actually level...All these close to the corner(s) are easy to level using the tripod(s). It is a different story when you get to the center of the room...Using more tripods helps for sure BUT this is not the silver bullet. For large areas, I tend to believe that using plywood sheets first then the self-leveling concrete will be better...

Does it not become uneven once again when you account for the added height the thin-set will create? Is the difference considered negligible and you would use a small transition?

Hi Mari,This leveling for making even hardwood with tile without transition, you can do installation as you want with transition or without. In 25 years it can be uneven again, maybe not.Thanks for watching!

Great tip. I see you have mixed up a lot of concrete at once. What is the maximum number of bags you can mix at one time? Is there a limit?

Thanks for the response. What I meant to ask was, how many bags can you mix at once in a single container? I need to pour about 6 bags and I want to know if I can mix 3 at a time in one barrel.

Mapei is very good quality. If compare other brands - quality, price and easy to work - Mapei is No 1 in Canada!

Here is my new idea about how to make a concrete floor leveling. I used this technique several times and found that's working! Now you can use a regular sand and screed tripod. Try and tell me about your experience. Good luck!
