Love not having the head banging issues you guys do. Me, I came, I saw, I conquered. No regrets with my LG C3. If you worry about this and that so much, you miss out on a lot of the simple joys of what you have.

I can say with complete confidence I don't have FOMO. I've mentioned on this and FOMO's channel, I'm still watching my 2009 Samsung LCD 🤣😂🤣😂. It must be really nice to have the funds to buy every year. I would read about people buying and returning TVs constantly on AVS Forums. To me going through all that repeatedly is such a hassle. Go right, go left, but make a decision and stick with it. I've known people who are the same way with cars. I would read the same stuff on DSLR forums too. I just can't relate to this kind of behavior. . Oh did I mention it's a 46" and I sit 10ft away 🤣😂🤣😂. Forget trying to sell me on that I should sit 6 feet from a 75" business. In a 16x25 apt living room? Not happening. Now, if you pony up the money so I can buy a place with the square footage so I can put a sofa that close and not chop off half the space for walking around then I'll consider it 🤣😂.

As a C1 owner I have no fear of FOMO at all. Why? Because I have no reason to buy a new TV. Not now or for the foreseeable future.

I am at the point where I wait and holdoff until tv prices start leveling off and are less expensive. I hate fomo and buyers remorse especially if I would have to repack a large TV back up for return. It's very hard but I have learned to chill out when TVS are first released with the highest price. 😊

FOMOs is whats keeping me from buying a TV in the first place right now. Damn, the buyers remorse always hits me hard. Im the type of guy to hold onto stuff forever, rather than sell or gift it to someone. But the silly thing, Im over here with a TV from 2008 and it doesnt bother me at all. That FOMO hits hard, man!

FOMO creates an obsession that also leads to a hobby both of which is kind of underrated. Sometimes discovering and discussing the technicalities and performance of something is as fun as using that said piece of technology, screens, cars etc. Heck someone manages to do just that for wine.... I hope its mission impossible for stop the fomo

Bundled the S90C and Q990C for $2600. This is so damn good for the money. The same setup from Sony would be nearly 3x. I’m good.

I think one underrated aspect is how much it stimulates people to examine every nook and cranny to save on technology It’s exciting to find that next small advantage to add to your decision before making the optimal decision

Just think, as you guys were saying. The G5 83" will be literally available a little over a year from now. So Brian can potentially go from a bright 83" now to a 83" with so much brightness his neighbors will think there's a lightning storm in the neighborhood. Who knows maybe they'll be something better than a G5 at this time next year. Good talk guys.

Thanks for putting out this video. I really needed to hear it. I've been depressed for a while because my second QN95C 85" has horrible vertical bands, uneven brightness, and horrible grayscale uniformity. I reached out go Samsung for a screen replacement, but they don't have any in stock so im getting a refund instead of a new TV. Just heartbreaking as I'll have to downgrade to a smaller TV. My trusty LG C1 77" will replace it, but now I want to get the LG G4 83". I know it'll be a huge upgrade, but it won't match the 85" size. I'll have to wait on the sidelines for a while because that TV won't be cheap. Thanks for everything you do.

Same exact scenario. Waiting to get an 83", and heard about the G4. Yes, 4k nits is coming, but will i really see the difference between 3k and 4k? I think I'll be happy enough. 🤗 Also, after I buy it, I won't be looking at new TV's for another 5 years, lol.

Thank god for your channel and stop the fomo. Your analysis and insight has helped me navigate all of the options available. You guys deserve the views! I have never owned an OLED and was scared of buyers remorse stepping into the 77in territory. Picked up the S90c in december and it has been amazing for us. Sports motion is meh and its not a perfect tv, but it is still worlds better than the 55in lcd vizio I came from.

Old tech is gold tech.. Ignore the hype and live in the past.. If you ignore HDR.. there is Zero FOMO 😀

I'm still happy with my choice in July of 2022 when my set was first released. It still looks awesome, got some upgrades they said wouldn't happen, hoping for one or two more but happy. Most of the time I can't watch the live streams during the week because I'm on the west coast so usually play when I'm working here. I've got a 4000 nit TV now, at least that's what it claims and it pops on excellent hdr content. I don't think I have the money to do this again anyway and apparently my set is current for another year 😉

Solving the FOMO in real time, my favorite Dynamic Duo. You guys crack me up. One thing I personally find intriguing: many people who dislike motion interpolation/HFR/SOE on 24p cinematic material due to its unnatural look are often the same people who want 144Hz or 240Hz for gaming. To me, personally, that high of a refresh rate makes gaming look just as unnatural as soap opera effect. Anyone care to help me understand that? I'm genuinely curious.

You can get 4000 nits in games too... not just spears and munsil and 3 movies. Hdr sliders go upto 10k in most games with working sliders

If I’m using a 7-8 year old low to mid tier tv and I buy a low tier model in 2024 should I expect the new tv to blow my old one out of the water? I don’t know what I don’t know and enjoy my tv now but want to go bigger. So if bigger gives me better at the same time without understanding all the options I may be missing out on, I’m good with that. Please advise. Thanks.

I have a 55in samsung s90c. I don't have fomo (except I paid $1599 and now it's $1299, but ok). What I have is fear of will it stay as great as it is now or have to replace it in a few years because I use cc or some other issue? I love it now , it's the best tv I have, and I have a Samsung 2020 qled, not mini led that came out in 2021, so I have some fomo about not having mini led, but my samsung qled is still excellent, and it compares very well to minileds o 15:04 n rtings in most categories. I have FOMO every year about Sony Qd Oleds but the high prices are too much. No fomo about lg oleds.

What type of brightness nits do y'all expect that 900D to have? At least 3000 in standard mode I would think right? Do we really expect the G4 to be brighter than the 900D? for me i knew i wanted lg and i wanted oled not hisense or tcl. it was the size i struggled with for my bedroom. started with 42 for 899 nah too small returned for 48 for only 100 more, still too small but couldn't go over budget then the 55 inch open box came along went over budget of 50 would love the 65 but am satisfied with 55. it is big enough for small bedroom

G4 is the best and brightest oled you can get in 2024

I am almost at the end of my Costco return period for my 85-inch Sony X90CL. I got it in November. Now I'm afraid the XR70 will have significantly better performance for the same price. While HDR10 looks great on my X90CL, I'm afraid that the XR70's SDR colors will be more saturated than on my X90CL, the XR70's Dolby Vision Dark will be brighter than on my X90CL while maintaining accuracy, and the XR70 will have higher sustained full-screen brightness than my X90CL. I guess mine would be called fear of future buyer's remorse (FOFBR).

I think 2022-2023 was a hard core FOMO year. Due to Qd-oled first coming out and the different models and brands. Now in 2024 it’s just sizes and knits. Which can’t compare to Qd-Oleds “FOMO”. So this year we get a break from serious FOMO 🥱👍🏻

Do you guys see the price of 83 inch OLED TVs dropping soon? The price increase over 77 inch is super high when honestly, it doesn’t even look that much bigger. I currently have a 77 inch C2 and love it, but i would pop for an 83 inch MLA or QD oled if it ever drops into the 3k range. With tvs going around and above 100 inches now, isn’t it time we stop acting like 83 inches is the biggest we can go? And by that i mean they act that way with the price.

Im glad that we have honest ppl here (Fomo and Brian ) ..most of yt channels just prase flagship models like s95c g3 etc.... only FOMO say : if u have 1500 $ buget go for 75 ich mini led its beter then 65 oled..:)and big tanks to TCL and HIsense . whit out this brands we are going to have 30-40 % higher prices on other brands :)

I have an old LG OLED (B6 from 2016) and I was never fully happy with it coming from a Panasonic plasma because it crushes blacks so hard and the Dolby vision wasn’t implemented well on it. I recently saw the X95L in a bright room and thought it was the best picture I’ve ever seen (haven’t seen the G3 or the A80L in person). Do you guys think I’d be happy going from the B6 to the X95L, considering I’d be getting away from OLED?

Iam not gonna have buying remorse brian , because i decided to buy 43" size tv this year and give it to my mom next year ,, i know this year is mostly just a refresh ,,, big upgrades are coming in 2025 and may not see some of them like sony's 4000nit display 🙂 i think people's inside their heart knew this but they can't control their patient ; thankfully i know how to do it .

I had buyers remorse from purchasing the lg C8 Oled’s suck.

Im afraid we are heading for another VHS vs beta max with LCD mini led vs OLED and i'm afraid that we will loose OLED becasue the manufacturer's will only see the margins being better with mini led than OLED. Its not about the better tech its always about the $$$$$ and they don't care about what the consumer want's.
