Great episode! I love it when you ladies talk about co-parenting. It’s something I constantly struggle with. Thank you ladies for this podcast, because it helps a lot to listen to people going through similar things. Also, I wish I could come to the Galentine’s event. Please think about having one in NY. 🙏🏽

For the valentines topic- I feel like bc of social media a lot of parents now for show want to overly gift the kids in the class solely for that reason. The kids are happy to get fundip, a lollipop etc. just a simple sweet treat with the card that’s attached to it. Keeping up with the joneses and doing things for the purpose of it being posted is a great way to drain your bank account and pointless in my opinion

I love that Cheyenne, I feel the same. I made myself a single mom by choosing to give her a dad who led a high risk lifestyle and so I have to own it and just keep it pushing. You are all such amazing moms because you keep pushing and make the best of your lives for the kids.

Totally agree. I rarely resented my ex for that reason. There were moments where I wanted him to make better choices and was angry but there was never a second of “I hate him.” It was always like “I want you to do better and I don’t understand why you can’t.” Were there times when I had to fight resentment, yep but I never wallowed and those were only moments when things were falling apart and I was at my weakest. Shanan, I leaned on my faith too because it’s the only way. We have to be healthy for our kids.

Such a great talk ! I have resentment about my parents. It's more so now that I'm an adult with my own little family now, I find I'm more resentful towards my mother in particular. It's hard to come to terms with

For valentines, yes, we still do the cards with their names I know i did in 2013 for my twin boys. My 4-year-old she was told to just bring anything Valentine's candy to her class. She received a basket with all of her friends' candies and little bubbles and stuff nothing to extravagant!

🤣 on the parents overdoing it. I thought I was doing something this year because we got little party favors, candy, got cute little boxes and made the Valentine’s and boom! One mom bought stuffed animals for the kids and my daughter was like, “we have to give stuffed animals next year.” I’m like whaaatttt 🤣

If it’s a new relationship, he should ask.. If you are years in, no! My man and I just celebrated our 7th Valentine’s Day and he didn’t ask.

I ordered heart sunglasses on Amazon a pack of 36 with cards for like 5.99. It’s always a hit. I’ve bought them 2 years in a row!

Yep, I have to remind myself to run my own race too. My house is only 1400 square feet and it’s taken me a while to not want to upgrade to a massive house because I know I can’t afford it in real life even thought it says I can on paper 😂.
