@Lord of The EdgeChimeras can't "turn into" conjoined twins. But sure, if chimeras with two sets of DNA are possible, then dizygotic conjoined twins should be theoretically possible as well. However, the mechanics would be completely different - usually, you get monozygotic (identical) twins when the zygote splits and forms two embryos. In the case of conjoined monozygotic twins, the split isn't complete. Dizygotic conjoined twins would require two different zygotes that merge with each other. Thing is, I bet you can find it all, somewhere in the world. Possibly in India and other countries, where cousins marry cousins for generations and you get all kinds of genetic fuck-ups because of it. We just don't know about them, and they often aren't viable - in those circumstances, it's quite probably that both the mother and the babes die because of complications during pregnancy or birth. This phenomenon (any of them) is also extremely rare and hard to observe and document just by chance. It's probably more common in animals where large litters are quite usual in contrast to humans. Still, it got nothing to do with hermaphrodites, which can be seen as one of several possible genetic disorders that affect the development of the sexual organs.

They have a team of different types of surgeons (i.e. cardiac, orthopedic, urinary/reproductive, & etc.). And as soon as they are separated, they split into 2 different teams of surgeons & nurses to work on each twin.

The Mayo Clinic Hospital performed a successful kidney transplant on my nephew last week. Our extended family went into over drive with prayers. From Friday when he got the call to Tuesday when he was brought home. Different languages, religious beliefs, continents and social status came together in prayer for a wonderful, generous, respectful young man to receive God's blessings. While still in the recovery room, my nephew asked the nurse to have his Mom & Dad thank everyone for their prayers. ♥️
@1010divajap2 жыл бұрын
How wonderful that he is doing well. the prayers alone were not enough - it takes the science behind the doctors. Best wishes and what a sweetheart he must be to ask for his thanks to be expressed.

Exactly, they are lucky they could be separated, but as conjoined twins go, they were minimally conjoined. Some twins like Abigal and Brittany Hensel are just too connected to ever have a successful separation, since they share the same body that forks into two heads.

Tin Ngo I am no genius..... I just know a lot of people with cancer and who have died from it. On the bright side, I also know people who have beat really bad ones. I just wish there was a cure. Right now my 34 year old niece just got diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer out of the blue. My dad had cancer and thankfully they caught it in time and it did not spread. My cousin Tisha died of cancer at 15. Right now my next door neighbor is dying from colon cancer. The neighbor to the right of us has bladder cancer. The list goes on. Well, not too long ago, we found out our water has been contaminated since 1996, so that may be a huge reason a lot of our neighbors have cancer. including my niece who always drank the water. She lived in the same district for a while. There is a lawsuit over it, since last year. It is a big one with 3, maybe 4 law firms joining in.

What a heart warming story, those Doctors are miracle workers... how proud they must be on their success with these girls. Their parents must be so happy and appreciative for those Doctors... the hand holding still shows the connection these two have.

Lia Wiley Depends on the school... There are ones which don't allow it cause it's not uniform... others allow it...

Whats wrong with spaghetti straps? There like 10 years old.

Lia Wiley huh weird. Usually that kind of stuff is an allowed unless the the girls have breasts. That kind of code is usually in high school

they are lucky they weren't more intertwined in the beginning. There was 1 conjoined twins who only have 1 body but 2 heads. these 2 got off easy

But one body 2 heads mean they can't be separated and have to live conjoined for the rest of their lives.

There was also one with one head a two bodies! Tough break. Died young.
@rainbowgirl19966 жыл бұрын
Brain Phelps I wouldn't say they "got off easy." Their organs were tangled together, one of their hearts was partially in the other ones chest..it's honestly a miracle that they're alive. What you're talking about it having 2 heads and not being able to be separated because there's only 1 body. That's impossible. It's a miracle that these girls didn't die during the operation.
@pokekitty16 жыл бұрын
the two heads one body did happen because there is a documentary about it and quite an old one at that because i first watched it when i was still in high school.

Yes, bless those doctors, and all the medical staff who worked on this. It must have taken an army of medical professionals to even figure out how they were going to approach this and all the plan b's and c's in case the others didn't work right. Soemtimes they don't know exactly what obstacles they might face with organs and all. I find it fascinating and to me, there medical people - the researchers, the nurses, the doctors, the technicians - every one of them - they are heros.

This is AMAZING!!! It’s SO good that they get to live their own lives! I’m a month older than them, and I couldn’t believe how brave they were. It’s such a miracle that the world has evolved enough to do things just like this. I’m amazed! 🙏🏻👍♥️

Ok but can we talk about just how many highly-trained surgeons were required for this miracle? It's just amazing how 17 surgeons were gathered together in one tiny room to separate these two twins. These parents have a lot of people to thank for their hard efforts.
