Works but recommend bringing unit inside in winter. Mine went bad due to cold. Had to get another.

Great video. Does it work for a electrical heater? I have pentair ultra temp. Also is there way to turn on the pool pump when the heater kicks in?

I have not tried. My pump is always on before this triggers with an older timer

Thanks for sharing this. I'd love to install one of these. May I confirm that the DTH101 can also select and control the SPA setting of the HAYWARD heater as well as the POOL, albeit one at a time of course. Also, did you automate your Diverter Valves and pump on/off selector too, and if so did you find a system/app to consolidate it all together? Thank you.

Did you disconnect the orange and white wires that were connected by Hayward by default? Or do the 2 spade wires connect to them?

Do you actually control the temperature setting from your phone or is it set to desired temperature on the heater itself before you put it in board mode and the phone app acts only as a "on/off" switch? Thanks

When you connect the pool and com wires to the heater, do you disconnect the wires already there?

Can you please answer whether the app just serves to turn the heater on/off, or does it also allow you to change the actual set point of the Thermostat? Anyone?

When setting your heater to remote the heat is set to max on the control panel. The on off in the app is then used to turn the heater on or off at the desired temperature. For the auto you can set it so that when it reached 78 it turns on and then off at 82. Reply if you have any other questions I use the ewelink devices for lots of my automations on hottubs etc

2-WIRE REMOTE CONTROL CONNECTION: To configure the heater for 2- wire remote thermostat control, use the “MODE” key on the heater keypad to put the control into “STANDBy” mode. Then press and hold both the “DOWN” and “MODE” keys for 3 seconds until the display shows the code “bo”. On the remote control wiring terminal block (Figure 22), connect the appropriate wires from the remote control to the terminals adjacent to the ORANGE wire (“POOL”) and WHITE wire (“24V”). To operate the heater by remote thermostat, the heater’s control must be in either “POOL” or “SPA” mode. The display will show “bo”. The “POOL” or “SPA” LED will be illuminated. The remote thermostat will operate the heater. The heater’s thermostat will function to limit the water temperature to a maximum of 104°F.

i think you need to also remote control the pump as well. there is also another amazon gadget thats 220v that allows you to control the pump www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PP2KNNH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I did not choose to do the pump with this. Pump stats on 8 hours a day so no need to control.
