Cooking Breakfast on the Metal Outdoor Firepit which I made on this channel.
I made this Metal Firepit for Campfire and Dutch Oven Cooking with a Swinging Pot Hanger, and since I have uploaded the video I had quite a few comments from people wanting to see it in use, and to see how it works. So I made this quick video and I hope it explains how it could be used, how we cook on it, and use it as an outdoor fireplace to sit around with friends.

You gotta be careful with modern cans mate, most have an internal plastic lining so not usually a great idea to cook in the can any more. Looks bloody awesome though!

I have been cooking with Dutch ovens for years. This is the best setup I have ever seen. you have inspired me to make a rig like yours. same trend but with scrap I have on hand. Thank you for sharing. ( I made a Santa Maria fire pit years ago I may be able to add a plate to it.)

In the USA, we call that a dutch oven. There are dutch oven groups all over who do cookouts together. I have 2 dutch oven cookbooks! Love your set-up. It's totally Aces!

Only issue I have here is the can of beans. All cans like that have a plastic liner to keep the can from rusting. Other than that it looks fantastic. Happy breakfast.

What a versatile unit and crafty build. Do you smoke meats? Could fab a sleeve for center section have a two piece lid to allow for hanging lamb, ribs from your center pole for access maybe? Or have a grill to hold inside? If you can’t tell I love smoking meats…be easy to move coals and wood around the bottom of sleeve section with access. Enjoy seeing your projects!

Hi Scott, I do not smoke meats, I have put them in a food dryer (like you do for apples - to make dried apples) and this worked well, for our camping many years ago. Your comment makes me think of doing it. I will have a play one day. I love your idea. Thank you.
