choy syaaa! i was looking for a recipe because my mom and sister have their own recipes but i don't think it's quite like my grandma's and i want to make it as close to my grandma's recipe as i can. i notice you said 2 large spoons but in the CC you said 1/4 (cup?) tapioca flour. in the english version of this recipe, you said 3/4 of a 16oz bag of rice flour and 1/4 of a 14oz bag of tapioca flour. could you clarify the amounts of flour and water in the dough? thank you!!

Hello, Thanks for your teaching.. But.... after I add the hot water into the flour..... is cannot be same as your dough.. is just turn to a liquid........ I don't know why. I have follow all your instruction...... This is the 2nd time I try still like it. Would you give me some advise? Thanks~
@neverenoughdirt7 жыл бұрын
Hmm.. there might be confusion with the water to flour ratio. If it is a liquid, there is either too much water or not enough flour. Try viewing this newer video for the recipe: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pNmle8emyc2Zd5c.html

When they come out of the steamer, the dough is nice and elastic. When they cool, the dough becomes chalky and pan frying them is the most popular way to bring back that elastic property. Plus crispy is alwasy good, hehe --brian

What does the red dot represent?
@neverenoughdirt5 жыл бұрын
I dont have an in-depth answer. My guess is that it is related to Buddhism. But the short answer is that in Chinese culture, white is a taboo color. It is often the color worn during funerals. Adding color (like a red dot) is a simple form of removing the taboo.
