Thank you for sharing your knowledge, I feel I can cook perfect clear bobas now. One question though : what’s the best method to freeze cooked bobas? Also, should those be reheated before use? Also : thank you for offering a vegan alternative to honey! 🌱

Hello 👋🏼 Your comment was so kind and inspiring ☺️. Some people enjoy the extra info, and it's free anyway! 😂 But others just want the easy cut and dry. I try to do a bit of both. Not talk too much with useless info, but enough for people to understand WHY the process behind everything. 😇😅 Okay so for freezing cooked boba: I've not done it myself personally, but I know many people who have told me they have done it for home use and they are happy with the results. Nothing beats freshly cooked tapioca pearls, but if you just want to keep some in some ice cube trays with water, and then simply defrost them for a few seconds in the microwave until they're at the correct consistency and texture, then go for it.👍🏼 There's no harm in doing it and it's a good alternative for home use after you've cooked a big batch. Hope that helps! 💯

I bought boba for the first time (there are no shopps that sells it around here), and mine are white and rock hard. The bag doesn't say anything about what kind they are or how to cook them though, but I'm guessing from your video that they are the quick cook kind? How would you cook them? Do you have any videos on that?

There are different types of brown sugars. I would suggest researching to find out exactly how many exist... Then get ahold of every single one and melth them all down... Try each one and see which is closest. XFT claims to use brown sugar from Taiwan. I know there's Taiwanese brown sugar for example. But I also know the pre-made brown sugar for shops comes in flavor variations as well. Perhaps this could be a fun an delicious research project for you! 🧋🧋🧋🧋🧋

I love your video!! I was wondering if these would taste like tapioca pearls with the brown sugar?
@BubbleTeaKristin
@BubbleTeaKristin 3 жыл бұрын
Hello 👋🏼 Thank you! Well, it depends. If you're making tapioca pearls at home from scratch, and you're not adding any sugar to them, then yes they'll take this taste the same. However if you're wanting to compare them to the tapioca pearls that you get from XFT or a tiger sugar type place, then no, these types of white clear pearls generally don't have any added sugar to them. Or if they do it would be a lower amount. The sweetness of boba generally comes from soaking it in a sweet solution thereafter, so the more sweeter you want it the higher concentration of sugar you should soak it in there after cooking. Hope that helps 😃

@BubbleTeaKristin 2 жыл бұрын
Mmm... Interesting.🤷🏼‍♀️ If there are no ingredients on the outside of the bag, I would be wary about this. My guess is that they are not actually tapioca pearls, but are using a different type of flour base. Are there any instructions listed on the outside of the bag? There was also someone in this comments section who had a similar situation as you and it might be worth finding that conversation thread too for some assistance.

@@BubbleTeaKristin Hi! I mean the toppings/jellies and the white tapioca pearls? Also, how long do these toppings/jellies last before making a new batch?
@BubbleTeaKristin
@BubbleTeaKristin 2 жыл бұрын
@@marisak8194 If it was a juice ball or jelly, they need to stay in their juice they came with in a refrigerated container. Once you open them they're good for up to a month. I used a rotation system in a refrigerated glass display case so all of the customers could see what the refrigerated items looked like. For any toppings that needed to be kept warm, such as white or black boba, we had also on the display case pictures of the white and black boba with its name, but it obviously wasn't in the refrigerated case, it was kept in its own warmer separately. @BubbleTeaKristin
@BubbleTeaKristin 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Jacqueline, Thanks for your comment & compliment 😍 It's totally up to your preference! If you enjoy less sweet, then simply sweeten the boba pearls and don't add any sugar to your drink. But if you prefer more sweet, then sweeten both! If you're a shop though, you'll need to have a base sweetness level for all your drink recipes - regardless of if boba is served in them or not.
