2 жыл бұрынWe all love our bread pudding in Belize. Growing up this was always one of my favorites.
⬇️⬇️⬇️ RECIPE BELOW ⬇️⬇️⬇️
👩🏻🍳 BELIZEAN BREAD PUDDING
16 slices white bread (1 lb or 454 g)
2 cups whole milk
1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1/3 cup brown sugar
4 tablespoons margarine
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ cup raisins
Bake at 350F or 177C for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.

This is EXACTLY how my Mom made it and she grew up in North Carolina-and was taught by her Mother and Grandmother!! I am 61 and make it the same way now, except I use real butter. The consistency and everything is the same ! I just love to see someone else’s recipe that is sliceable and not so loose because of course i prefer it like the recipe i grew up on.❤️

I made this for my dear mom and grandma. I remember growing up they’ve always loved bread pudding. I used to buy it for them whenever I could. Now with this recipe, they can have it whenever they want. I didn’t use to like it but I enjoyed you’re recipe. My husband and son didn’t like it but my daughters loved it. Mom, grandma, my two girls and I enjoyed it with French vanilla ice cream, thanks for the recipe!

This looks delicious and I am going to try it exactly the way you made it. I have been making bread pudding for 50 years but I rip up my bread the day before and let it dry and I put eggs in with the milk 4, or 6 depending on how big of batch I make. I never mashed up the bread but I think it's a good idea. I love raisins, sometimes I use dried cranberries or dried cherries.

I use eggs, as well - as milk & egg = custard - which I love in my bread pudding. I also do the bread the day before to dry it. However - I like the idea of mashing the bread - makes it more like a cake than a pudding. I can't wait to try it.

Hi! Thank you for sharing your recipe. I was a little skeptical at first because I've never made bread pudding without eggs. I wasn't sure about mine holding together. I made the pudding today, and it turned out perfect. It smelled so good coming out of the oven, I only waited an hour before eating. It tastes great.❤

I like it chewy. I don't like the bread chunks. Sometimes these chuck are dry and brittle.

My dad used to make this kind of bread pudding all the time they are many different kind of textures in bread pudding I just didn't care for them but I always love the ones that my dad always made I miss my dad when he rest in peace but I do remember his bread pudding I can't have it now like I ate it back then as a childhood but I do remember and I can't actually say this was my favorite bread pudding and it's textured Marion B Wayne Michigan

I love bread pudding and I love your cooking one of my favorite an oh my lovely God it looks heavenly an I want to say my hubby is missing out of that heaven it was just like when I was younger I use to like to make bread pudding and every body love it except one of my sister she use to eat it but it looks like she wasn't fun of it but I I tell you it was my choice up to now and of course those around that use to love it well like up to now the ingredients are hard to come by as it's pandemic world lol so you see not even the stale bread is available lol God bless continue to do your good work oh an can you give me an easy cake recipes

I'm mad I clicked on it now because I don't have any bread right now and I don't feel like going out to buy one.☹️ I normally make cheesecake with your recipe, I love it and so does my family. I made this today, and it was delicious My only tweek was that I added soaked fruits. Since I am of Jamaican descent, there was some wine and rum in my soaked fruits! This is how my mother made her bread pudding!
