Growing up in Belize "stew beans" was always a staple on our weekly menu. This is how my mom taught me to cook it. It goes well with rice or flour tortillas.

👩🏻🍳 BELIZEAN STEW BEANS RECIPE
2 lbs. red kidney beans
14 cups water
4 tablespoons canola oil
1 cup chopped onion
3 cloves chopped garlic
1 tablespoon salt
Cook on high for 8 hours in your slow cooker.
