Honestly in this video the expedition and ats seem very promising, the 3 series also seemed good if youre willing to throw a hood and some other parts seems like a good flip.

It's impressive that the cabin on that Veloster was still completely untouched. The entire front end is gone but the passenger area was not affected.

My friend had a Cmax, the transmission gave up exactly at 101k so its just built to withstand its warranty.

For the impala it might’ve been a push button start. As weird as it may sound the impalas 06-12 had a key ignition failure. So most likely had a wire running in the car for button and another part of the wire running to the starter. Speaking from experience 😂

Those C-Maxes are great little cars, Randy. I have 2 friends that own them, one regular hybrid like that one, one plug-in. I actually suggested the car to my friend that bought the plug-in one. They’re based on the Focus platform I believe. They’re a hell of a lot quicker and more sporty to drive than they should be. They drive as sporty as a Focus and accelerate pretty quick with the electric motor. They also average around 40 mpg. If you do buy this and need to replace the tires, replace them with the factory ones (which I’ll admit are pricey). My friend with the regular hybrid tried to cheap-out on replacement tires and it significantly reduced his fuel economy. I think he dropped from about 44 mpg to maybe about 36 or so. Like most hybrids, the regen brakes are super-touchy but you get used to them. They’re really great, if not a little under-appreciated cars. By the time we received the C-Max in the US, it was already pretty old. They drive very nice though. Their original market was Europe, I believe and there, they have a variety of drive trains including non-hybrid ones but we only got the regular and plug-in hybrids here in the US. It was the replacement for the old, boxy Escape Hybrid. It is now being replaced with the new, Escape Hybrid. They didn’t build an Escape Hybrid when they sold the C-Max here. C-Maxes never sold well here but, because of that, you can probably pick it up cheap. The red is one of the best colors on it, too. They’re similar in utility to the Transit Connect but in my opinion, much nicer. If you can get it for a decent deal, I’d go for it! I love the ATS, too. I actually wanted to buy a new one at one time, myself. You could actually get the 2.0L turbo-4 with a 6-speed manual which of course is what I wanted. They too are great driving cars but did not necessarily sell well or retain their value very well. It may be another good deal in the making.

Hi Randy, just recently my Cadillac Cue system was malfunctioning. The one in the ATS is what happens when you let the screen in a CUE burn up. It will need replacement but there are cheaper aftermarkets, looks like a good car though.

One thing I learned from watching your copart carnage videos,cars today are built far worse than I originally thought and if you think they are a easy fix your just dreaming!

That impala probably had a sound system and was piggybacking off the alternator for a power compensator

Randy - you're a Corvette guy so I think keeping an eye on that (2013 was it?) 427 monster is a good idea. The BMW is a good one as is that purple blue Cadillac Butt Cheek Vibrator. Can't really go wrong with any of those.

The caddy screen shatter was common up to 2015. From the heat. You can get a replacement screen online for like $150 and install yourself

The C max is also available in the UK, also has both petrol and diesel engines

That butt vibration also comes on with lane departure, and if someone is in the lane beside you when you put on the blinkers. I hate that feature and turn it off when I have a rental.

I think I know what happened to the Cadillac: Owner was driving hit a curb or something and then he/she must've been pissed and punch the infotainment system.

Huge fan I watch your videos everyday I work in a copart competitor and I can say On the Corvette "non" runner and "no" key it's because when the car is brought it it's inspected without the key so it's written and the tow truck drivers even write that on the window when dropping it off. Sadly it should have been scraped off the window as go not confuse buyers but keys get made for them all the time hope this helps. Would love a shout out 😂

Randy, that Vet really sounds good. better than your new one? a great project. you need to spend some of that ten grand that is burning a hole in your pocket on it. by the way (no disrespect intended) when you start up a car that is showing no oil on the dipstick do you keep your eye on the oil pressure gauge on start up? I was watching it when it started up and it immediatly showed 60 lbs. so I heaved a big sigh of relief. I got into that habit as an old school race car driver every time you fire up a fresh engine for the first time cause you just never know.

You can swap out the touch screen on that cadillac pretty easy. Cadillac tries to sell the entire radio for 1500, but you can get a screen for under 200 from cuescreens on amazon with instructions to replace it. I had to do it to my wife's cadillac
