When Dennis returned in more recent years, he informed Rita that Elsie and I think Bill Gregory still had died when their car plunged off a narrow road, and they were discovered holding hands 🥰 Yes, there was somewhat of a mass exodus in ‘83 - ‘84. Nice that Eddie popped back to visit Hilda in hospital in ‘87 after she was attacked at the Lowthers.

Apparently Uncle Albert's last appearance was in the 23rd of January episode with his last line of dialogue having him put down Hilda. This scene has been cut and I don't remember ever seeing it. Jack Howarth's name appears in the end credits though, as it does in the next episode. His last appearance is in the Rovers Return as he retires to he Snug with his rum, this is the same episode where Elsie leaves. Stan cracks me up in the bed being interviewed about his toe under guidence from Hilda. "The last time I was up that ladder"... Hilda nudges him. His face is s gem throughout.

Correct : That scene was cut because Jack Howarth went on to choke agonizingly on his own breath, taking 11 minutes to finally die, his face having gone almost black, and soiling himself copiously. Rumours that long standing cast members pelted him with peanuts in his death throws have yet to be substantiated.

Jean Alexander was the strongest actor out of all of them ever. The houses and Rovers, in particular, are tardis' as they're way bigger inside that out - especial the "Select" function room that appears and disappears, and couldn't possibly be there without being on the road. I've been in the Rovers and it's tiny. The houses on the exterior set are only one storey and are costume & lighting stores and some are writers offices. They use wide angle lenses on the cameras to make it all look bigger than it really is. Behind the arch at the end of the street is a huge soundstage with all the interior sets within.

Ken supping beer in the Rover's... when was the last time we've seen that in regards to new Rover's? In fact, when was the last time we saw anyone supping pints in the Rover's?? Pints just sit there in front of the actors. Speaking of the Rover's, you'd be lucky to even see a scene taking place there. She's no longer the centre of the street. Sad. Now it's the Bistro, wine and fancy drinks.

However the next day when we wish to continue watching where we left off we don't get the option to resume where we left off. And secondly when we manually forward to where we left off the picture and voices are totally out of sync making it very humorous but unwatchable. Is there something we need to alter in the settings or is it that the TV upstairs is further away from the router downstairs so could a booster be needed? Any advice would be really appreciated.

He was not popular with clique-ish fellow Corrie heavyweights, 3. He had just been prosecuted and fined for "importuning" ( anonymously flashing his pork sword in a public kharzee in exchange for no-strings ar*e banditry. Hence, news of Bert's demise was candidly circulated in the Rovers to the tune that he had died peacefully in his sleep in hospital. Sad thing is that all of the above had taken a horrendous toll on Peter Dudley's health in real life and the stress literally killed him: Bert Tilsley's demise was circulated just a week after Dudley's actual death in a "let's get this sordid affair over and done with" kinda thing. Such is life on 'The Street'.
